Hahahaha I have to hand it to you..... You sure want everyone making good money but man it cannot be that way. Its honorable but it's fantasy. Maybe some of these folks don't deserve more? Maybe the prices go up because of gubment issues and not the company? Is it the responsibility of the company to make up for the gubments greed? I mean if gas gets to $7 a gallon is Walmart supposed to say ok here is a gas allowance to help you all?? If milk gets to $8 a gallon is Walmart gonna say here you go milk cards for everyone!!!
hey man, I know walmart or any other company out there can't carry the load. but when you look at walmart's total earnings for the year, do you not think they could give their bottom workers a little more money per hour, and still make huge profits. then if the gas jumps to $7 a gallon, the workers may be able to drive to work a couple days a week instead of walking every day. I just feel sorry for people that don't have a chance in life, to have a good life.

Dude.....life is not fair.......
Jobs are simply not given to folks, they are EARNED. it is not Walmart's or any other companies responsibility to make sure someone is employed. And for the last time, I really don't give a crap what Wal-mart makes versus what they pay their workers.....DON'T CARE.
I have a friend right now who is going seriously into hock to start his dream business.... BIG, HUGE.......MONGO, MONGO risk...but you know what, he will be successful because HE is successful at everything he's tried.
He has started and closed more businesses than anyone I know. He's been a cabinet builder....Made a lot of money doing that and got out after he got bored doing it......Made a ton of money and made even more off his building and equipment.
He opened a small shop in the industrial complex, building golf clubs, and was competing with the big dogs, selling custom clubs all over the country. He again got tired of that, and sold out and made a crap ton of money off the custom molds he made for driver heads. Actually sold some of the ideas to a VERY MAJOR NAME for yet another crap ton of money.
He used to fish and hunt and watch a lot of sports......he gave all that up with the goal of retiring....He worked a regular 8-5 job and then put in another 5-8 doing his side jobs....this new venture will require him to quit his 8 - 5 job and invest all his time on the new venture.
In a few years, he will be finished working...........FINISHED.
People make money who risk money.....I wish just 1/2 of you guys on this site would take a risk, and stop whining about how life is not fair and how we're not all equal.
You know what.....we ARE NOT all equal..get over it.

Taking money out of the economy doesn't hurt it?...If you say so
What is damaging the economy the most is so many people looking for government support instead of working for their own McDuck piles.

I assume you are referring to the welfare losers that we all have a distaste for in this statement, welfare is 12% of the budget and included in that 12% are the folks who are unable to fend for themselves.. You think we should behead them to save that 8 or 9 percent of that 12% that they live on?
Same as I responded to DJD, if your family's friend doesn't have employees drawing food stamps then they aren't part of the problem, otherwise...
Giving more money to the government does not help the economy, better paychecks do.
people like me... I did draw an unemployment check once for three months if that is what "people like you" was referring to.
There is more right with our country than there is wrong with it, look around the world... We don't even let folks starve who can't fend for themselves but I guess you want that part of your tax dollars back..
Hopeless. Some of the weakest points yet. I guess if you case is weak enough its hard to make strong points.
Explain exactly where anyone takes money out of the economy except the government. When you or anyone else saves money, they don't bury it in the yard, they put it into the system. 401k, stock investments, real estate investments, etc. The more money the government takes, the less that's plugged into the economy. Simple huh?
Your recurring point appears to be that wages aren't high enough. In a free enterprise economy exactly what can the government do about that? What has the president you voted for done about it?
I agree there's still more right with America than wrong, but Barack Obama and Harry Reid are doing everything they can to change that.
Guess we can just agree to disagree. I'm impressed with your civility and tone in your posts.
Good fishing to you. I'm going to Dale Hollow Sunday, and prolly won't have a single thought about politics. Forget an Obama phone, when the hell is he going to start paying for baits. That stuff is expensive.
Republicans WANT cuts before additional revenues are raised..........Spend my money more effectively before I give you more money.
Republicans have fallen the the bait and switch way too many times in the past. We have raised taxes in the past, and never got the spending cuts promised.......
This time around, make the CUTS, and then if we still need revenues, raise taxes.......
Oh, btw.......there are bills passed by the house that Harry Reid will not even allow to come to the floor. One such bill was a bill to repeal obamacare.....It passed the house overwhelmingly, and more than likely would have passed the senate, because EVEN democrats don't want it but Harry Reid would not even allow it to come to the floor.
So lets not just blame republicans here........this is dirty politics....pure and simple.

I understand that's what they WANT. What they have to realize is that, in the real world, you don't get exactly what you want, especially when your candidate lost the election. It's called give and take.
This time around, you don't get to say, "make the cuts first, and then raise revenue if needed." You're not calling the shots. When you dig in your heels and refuse to compromise, all you're doing is ensuring that NOTHING gets done! Can't you see that???
I don't really blame "just Republicans" for this, but your post blamed just Democrats, so I was turning it around on you. Neither side can say they have a real long-term plan that's going to work.
