Abortion is most of the time a hot button for hard liners to seize onto but it is quite amazing how quickly they are willing to throw the kid under the bus in the name of cutting benefits to 'welfare losers' after these kids exit the womb... It's wrong to abort the fetus but it's ok to starve the kid just because it happens to have loser parents... If you are not willing to take the kid into your home and raise it then shut the hell up.
You raise some very good points, and really to fully discuss those we would almost need a thread all to itself. However the fact is, even if for arguments sake one would concede your points, that just reinforces that basically the vast majority of these babies are murdered for nothing more than convenience.
Hmmmmmm?
1. I wouldn't have known they did, I'd have thought it was God's will. (If I had cognizant thought at that point)
2. I'd have missed 58 years of income taxes, personal property taxes, car repair bills, food expense, health expense, home ownership costs, insurance bills of all types, and utility costs.........I'D BE FRIGGIN RICH BY NOW!
I contend you can't "MISS" what you have never had.
With the line of thinking we see from the right-to-lifers, I don't understand why the babies that were 'denied' the right of being born by using condoms, pills, abstinence or any other type contraception aren't in the same predicament as aborted babies, the end result is the same as far as being denied the privilege of living.
Planned Parenthood aborted a baby every 94 seconds, costing taxpayers $524 million. The hell we can't do something about that!
Not going to mine the internet for numbers but if you are trying to make a financial argument about the cost of abortion vs. the welfare cost of these same babies until they are grown and in a lot of cased on into their adult life, then I suspect the numbers won't back you up.
What about steralizing the irresponsible parents, or would that interfere with their " right " to procreate? What about the rights of the child/fetus?
One of the problems with the kids in Foster Care is that the State wants to keep them in the system as long as they can. They would rather you become a foster parent than to have you adopt one out. Their "Department" loses money on every child adopted.
Are you actually advocating our government start forcing sterilization on people who are american citizens?.. With that line of thinking why don't we go one step farther and put an age limit on how long a person can continue to live if he happens to be drawing social security, doing one is just a hop-skip-and jump from the other.

That is the truth, a good many abortions are done simply because the woman either doesn't want a child or doesn't want a child at that time and as I have said before, that is her decision and none of my business.

Hilly, you hit the nail dead on the head. I totally agree.
So here's is the question: Does my sperm have a right to life? If so I am a mass murderer.
We're getting off track, but this is a very incorrect statement. The were PLENTY of people who actually thought they were doing the slaves a favor.
Agreed....and Walmart thinks so too! :-)

Not really religion savvy but it seems one sect, maybe the catholics, does or use to believe contraception was sinfull or something like that but even to them I guess it was ok to "mass murder" millions of babies simply by not partaking in the process of producing them.

Completely ridiculous. RTL's only concern themselves with actual CONCIEVED or FERTILIZED eggs as an actual pregnancy. If it was never fertilized you didn't kill anything.
I see abortion as a necessary evil when it comes to some rape's, incest, medical complications ect. I do NOT see it as a Oop's I messed up convenient way to avoid what you view as a mistake.
Your argument you have raised it stupid and makes no sense and quite frankly you both are being silly with it. Bob have you been up drunk all night, lol???
And please don't call me Mike, lmao..

Typical lefty garbage. FYI....not every sperm is alive. Age, genetics and lifestyle can dictate alot. A woman's egg is not a baby and a mans sperm is not a baby. I'm not gonna get into the details of how babies are conceived..geez. Come on man!

I agree, that argument is just about as silly as the argument right-to-lifers make when attempting to make it look like abortion doctors are reaching inside of the woman just before the baby is born and cutting it's throat or some nonsense like that, I won't try to deny that might be done in a situation where there are certain circumstances and no, I'm not going into what those circumstances might or might not be... Abortions are performed early in the pregnancy and not with a pair of scissors at the last minute.

Odds are thats what the answer will be.I've heard several times.
When God threw Satan and 1/3 of the angels out of Heaven, they fell to the earth to cause evil. They are still here today and will be until the end of time, and then will be thrown into Hell along with the unsaved and non-believers. The Bible says that "Satan has come for no other reason but to KILL, STEAL, AND DESTROY. Don't go saying that death and devastations in the earth are the will of God. He had nothing to do with it; put the blame where it belongs, on Satan.
I didn't have to ask the preacher why one of my loved ones died. I KNOW, and God didn't cause the sickness of my dad or my sister who was also young mother of 2 babies, still in diapers. Their body is made of flesh and bodies get sick or old and die, that's how life is. The life of neither flesh or plants is eternal on earth.
