Re: UK Football -National Championship
I'd be more than happy to. Louisville played in the Orange bowl just a few short years ago. Was a field goal away from having a shot at the National title. Teams in your mighty SEC like Georgia and Alabama was dodging Petrino like the Flu. Check back if you think it's not so.
Here it is a nutshell Louisville will better than UK much faster and that is fact and you UK boys can't handle it because you are ALL just to full of hate to talk sensible.
Here is a DIEHARD Louisville fan telling it like it is in a nutshell and validating EVERYTHING I have been saying. "Louisville will be better than UK much faster", Here is a Louisville fan that follows Louisville and Kentucky agreeing that Louisville has not and is not "Much Better" than Kentucky. The debate has not been, Kentucky is better in football, has not been Kentucky will be better in football, it has been that Louisville has been "Much Better" than Kentucky over the last 10 years in football. If Louisville has been "Much Better" then why does one DIEHARD Louisville fan that follows both teams closely say they "will better than UK much faster"? The answer is simple and again evidently clear for those rational thinking people who are not "Blowhards" Louisville has not been "Much Better". They both stink and yes Louisville will be better than Kentucky quicker but that was not the original debate. GAME SET MATCH AGAIN
Re: UK Foootball -National Championship
I just read all this dribble and you didn't win squat except the HATER OF THE YEAR AWARD. You and Mills aught to get together and bump DH'S and see who wins.
If I didn't win then why did you agree with ME?

I didn't, I do believe Louisville in football over the last ten years has the edge over Kentucky. Beter bowls, better in season wins.
Louisville was a top 25 program without a doubt until Klownthorpe showed up. Also while Petrino was here Kentucky was his Prison bitch.
Yes they both stink this year, Kentucky is a little worse than Louisville. They lost 60% of their scoring when Cobb and Locke left. They to are young and are rebuliding as is Louisville I have been very consistent with that detail. I don't like slamming on any team in rebuild mode which is exactly what both of them are doing. I can actually talk about sports without playing the HATE GAME.
Re: UK Foootball -National Championship
omg, dude i swear this was in the paper..You above all else being a sports writer and you didn't see the news paper article about Strong setting the scale for the U of L football players. Surely you jest Tim.....
Did anyone else remember reading about this story in the C-J?
I'll go thru the paper's i got and try and find the article..This Cardinal fans is the gods truth and I swear I'll find the article.......
You look up the article and then scan it so we can all see it. If it says anything other than a player had a 0.00 then YOU ARE WRONG! Never heard of a player getting a 0 gpa.

You have to consider the Klownthorpe years because it is in the last 10, which is where the debate started. I don't disagree that up until 5 years ago Louisville had a better program but after the 12-1 season they have pretty much done nothing in a nothing conference. The last 5 of Kentucky playing in the SEC versus the first 5 of Louisville playing in the Big East are pretty much a wash. Call it a tie, call it a slight advantage for Louisville, call it a slight advantage for Kentucky, I don't care. Either way, Louisville has not been "MUCH BETTER" over the 10 years and you can't say and did not say that they were.

He can't Tim because he makes half of the crap he comes up with. The world of sports according to Mills, to bad NOBODY esle ever hears that crap. Bunch of complete and Utter BS.
I was listening to Lach on WHAS last Friday evening and he had some UK boys about ready to go postal when he was calling out the SEC.
He referred to them as ''The Vaunted, All Knowing, All about them SEC'', I was cracking up. Just for the record boys we get it, you are the premier football conference in America, I think you are marginally good at best in basketball. Why has the SEC kept Vanderbilt and Kentucky in the SEC because it's automatic schedule padding wins.....that's why...FACT!

Talk about AUTOMATIC SCHEDULE PADDING WINS, Louisville finishes 6th of 9, last place, last place and next to last place in the all MIGHTY Big East Conference the past 4 years. Kentucky finishes 10/12, 7/12, 11/12 and 8/12 in the same time in the MIGHTY SEC. That murderous row of Syracuse, Pitt, UCONN, West Virginia and such versus Florida, Alabama, LSU, Georgia and such. I am not sure which is more impressive, finishing an average of 8 out of the 9 team BIG EAST or 9 out of 12 in the SEC, tick tock tick tock tick tock and the answer is ...... well even a Louisville Fan can figure that one out
Keep them coming fellas, I have not jumped off the cliff just yet, even though the 4 or 5 Blowhard Louisville fans on the site sure do wish I would
Re: UK Foootball -National Championship
Ok U of L fans...I told you I wasn't makin stuff up..Here's the PROOF, direct from the C-J....... Not just 1 player with a 0.00 gpa, but 6 player's total... Article ran in C-J on Aug. 27, 2001
Another reason why U of L will never get into a better Conference than the Big East or another Mid Major Conference when the Big East goes away.....
Cards' grades improving
Strong's first fix: boosting GPA
University of Louisville coach Charlie Strong vowed his football program would never again lose scholarships because of a low academic progress rate score.
The Cardinals lost three scholarships when the APR was released in June, but Strong pointed out to the sold-out crowd at the team's kickoff luncheon Tuesday that they were already progressing.
Strong, who was hired in December 2009, said that in the fall semester before his arrival 52 players on the team had below a 2.0 grade-point average, including "six players who didn't pass a class. Six players had 0.00."
He learned of the grade problems en route to his first team meeting with the Cards. It's what led to his now legendary rant. The players had planned to give Strong a standing ovation in what they thought would be an easy introduction.
"When I hit the door there was no standing ovation," he said. "They were going to hear what I had to say, and it wasn't very pretty. I told them that never again would we have below a 2.5 team semester GPA. That will never again happen."
The APR monitors a four-year span of retention and eligibility of players. The numbers released in June covered the fall semester in 2006 to the 2010 spring semester. U ofL's average in that span was 908, including an 869 for the 2009-10 academic year.
In the first semester after Strong took over, he said, the team had a 2.7 GPA overall, including 40 players who had above a 3.0 in the spring of 2010.
"In the fall a lot of times you slip because guys are playing football - they think they don't have to go to class," Strong said. "And I said to them again, 'We will never slip,' and in the (2010 fall) semester we had a 2.5 and we actually had 11 on the Dean's List....And this past spring our players had a 2.65, so the players are moving forward."
Strong pointed out that senior defensive end Greg Scruggs was one of the six players who had a 0.0 GPA in the fall 2009 semester. Then he added that Scruggs became more disciplined academically and will graduate in December.
"Show me a football team with good grades, and I'll show you a good football team," he said. "Show me a football team with bad grades, I'm going to show you a bad football team."
