I always have a tough time early at this lake and have a tournament there Sunday. Any advice on this lake for this time of year? Colors? Spots to fish?(not looking for honey holes) I just have a hard time getting a limit. Always just manage to find two or three stupid ones.

I havent fished it much with water temps where they are now. This is a difficult lake to fish anyways. I like the first two points you come to left of the marina. If not there maybe the docks by the campground to the right of the marina. I have a very difficult time with this lake myself. There are good fish but they can be very difficult to find. Good luck and report back how you and the rest of the tournament did.
I'll be fishing there Sunday as well in the USABassin tournament. Only fished this lake once so it should be interesting. I would suggest a banjo minnow or the helicopter lure to everyone else in the tourny... haha just playing. I'm kinda in the same boat as you are as far as what to throw. Hopefully there will be a good showing.

I will most likely be there Sunday as well. I will be in a white aluminum triton vt19 chucking and winding, hoping for the best.
I'll be in a black tundra pulling a red bass tracker. Hoping for tight lines!

Just wanted to thank everyone for there help. There were 8 boats and only two had fish, one each. We got second. Water temp from 46-49 and mostly stained. It was a very tough bite. Caught our keeper 15 minutes before weigh in.
I really thought that there would be more turnout. The spring tournys usally have around 20 boats. Wish I could have been there but the pondhoppers is more important to me and had to get my boat ready. What were the weights of the 2 fish
