The USA screwed up when they stop manufacturing here
Found this on the LA Port Operations page and is a good view of what is going on at that port. Sacramento is the other major port.

Looking at the load trends 2020 was slow as Covid hit, makers made less, and imports were slowed till we figured out it was safe to do that.
2021 saw more buyer demand, more production, more shipping and so demands ramped up shipping. And, the numbers as projected are going to decline as they follow historic demand trends.
Wish the news folks would get this kind of data before they try to make a normal occurrence into a political statement, expecially since Covid can be attributed as the major supply chain disrupter.
Seems to me every time the news folks yell “Empty shelves…..shortages”. Folks rush out and hoard and what was little on the shelf becomes less. Self inflicted foot gun shot me thinks.
When the USA started sending all our manufacturing overseas to foreign countries to save money on workers pay they screwed up our National Security. And one day we will pay dearly for that. The people that have the most to lose are the owners of these factories. The chines communist will confiscate all their production equipment and use it for their own use.
Right now China's navy is larger than ours and maybe more powerful. We won't know who's got the best navy unless we go to full scale war with China. But China has stolen our technology and is making copies of our F22 and other planes and ships with more powerful weapon than we have. They are producing destroyers faster than we can and are taking over the entire South China Sea and all those resources. We have fed the alligator in the pond for too long.

Go Screw yourself Timmy
I too wish we could have quality discussions
Does every discussion of real world situations have to turn into childish name calling, political overtones, and proposed schemes of clandestine covert conspiracy ?
IMHO, that’s part of what’s wrong right now. So many want some deep complicated discussion of situations that often need simple solutions like enforcement, or have simple clearly identifiable causes such as disease driven shut downs, sick labor forces, unexpected demand, and/ or lack of supplies from a temporary shortage.
No folks, Henny Penny does not solve issues by declaring the sky is falling. We make things better with problem solving and action .
But as long as there is two different media agendas out there dividing American this is what we get. People that listen to the main stream media IE CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN and PBS get one vision of the news. And other people who listen to the Right Wing Media like Fox with a owner from a foreign country that doesn't care if the USA survives or not get another totally different vision. So when we mess in here we come with different visions of the truth and that leads to conflict. I don't really care to call other's names but I will not sit idle and allow people to spread false news (Disinformation) about the virus. It's way too important to get this virus under control and that process is being disrupted by the GOP and I think that they are doing it on purpose. Spreading disinformation about the vaccines is unamerican IMHO and it needs to stop now.
