Nice Video........when was this Dec 1, or Dec 12..............
We have been HAMMERING them down there. I don't throw too many crankbaits, but I might start. With all the warm weather,, I wish I would have taken my crankbaits and my crankbait rods.
We had 1 day earlier this year around bait in a very specific area where we caught 17 on silver buddies. THAT was crazy.
I enjoy your videos........Keem them flowing.
Later,
Geo

I use a 5.4:1 ratio. So it wasn't crazy fast but the water was in the mid 50's and sometimes that faster retrieve works in the fall on smallmouth.
Thanks for clearing that up like I said im not pro in always thought in winter you had to hit the fish in the head with your bait
Nice video. Which Loomis rod are you using?

Thanks. CBR 845 "Crankbait Series". They don't make these anymore unfortunately.
Yep, good stick. It’s what I use also.

Over the years the crankbait series has had the exact same blank but some features such as reel seat, guides and cork has had very small changes. Back in the day they were originally called CBR. Then they went to the E6X line and now there the new line called CGX. I have the 843 for squarebill and the 845 for stuff that dives 10-14 ft range.
Here is the link to the crankbait rods I am talking about. I have the E6X series but I have also had an older CBR series. I have not tried the CGX...
