Trump's lawyers failed when their chosen Special Magistrate rules against Trump and for the DOJ. And then the Appeals court rules against Trump and allows the DOJ to continue their investigation of trump.
The real question is where will trump spend his prison time? Rikers or a US Federal Prison.

Garland was approved to sit on his appellate court seat unanimously by both the GOP and the Dem. Just because he is doing his job and Trump broke the law does not give you the right to bash him.
If anyone needs bashing it was Barr who did Trump's bidding during his time as the AG. Trump could not keep his hands of the Justice Department and failed to recognize the independence of the US Justice Department. Trump is the biggest crook in the Presidency since Nixon who was a real crook.
