ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
It is getting close to that time again. Our second anual fishing and conservation expo will be held once again @ the Johnson County Fairgrounds. Also the same as last year it is sold out. We have changed a couple things from last year. The first is, we will have the same guest speakers both days and once again we are covering most species including Musky, Stripers, Walleye and Bass. Our vendors also represent the different species vendors on hand. All proceeds go to help fund our grant programs. We have issued over $5,000.00 worth of grants this year alone.
Unlike other shows, ours is strictly fishing related. There are no vacation companys, no fancy kitchen gadgets or Billy-Bob teeth. It is most definetly worth the time to visit and shop. This years show is the same weekend. January 13th. & 14th. Times are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. We should have the site updated next week to reflect the vendors and guest speakers, but it is pretty close to last years show. You can access it @ www.iscfishingexpo.com You can also go to www.iscconservation.org to see what were about.
If ya have any questions, please feel free to ask away and I will do my best to answer any of them.

RE: ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
For all the bass guys, Anglers World will be there for our show. Rabid-Fish Marine was our anchor, but went out of business this year :( This used to be Willit's Tackle Twon in Greenfield Indiana. So many of ya know, they absolutely carry everything under the sun for fishermen. Last years show was absolutely awesome and this year expects to be even better!!!
RE: ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
I know Wilits has the video "Big Mouth" filmed in Fla. every bass fisherman needs to see that video to help understand bass. It's also great for kids to see how big bass feed.
RE: ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
Anyone looking to go to a fishing show that caters to fisherpeople (politically correct) this is a good one lotta stuff but NO garbage like some of the other shows. plus you will be helping out the sport of fishing not some big promoter. My wife and went last year she bought more tackle than I did......Mark your calendar and don't miss it . Joe G
RE: ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
I'll second that! The show was great! I found a lot of bargains and and loved the speakers too. I went both days, it was so refreshing to be able to talk to anyone there. I spent a lot of time with Mick Thill, and later even fished with some of the his friends up north. They do Europian style match fishing and boy did they out fish me! We fished in the Indiana Bank Anglers event on the Indy canal in Broad Ripple on a cold and windy day on April 8th . I only caught 6 lbs.- 5 oz. of bluegills, good for 8th place overall. Frist place was 18 lbs. and that was with no large fish like bass or carp in the mix! I learned some new fishing technics that improved my catch rate many times out on the water this year. I even had a good day on Brookville for walleye using ideas from the speaker " Jiggin Jim". I'm ready for round two .... I learned more at last years event than anything I've attended before. Thanks again ISC.
RE: ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
Jiggin Jimmy Lang here fellows,I once again have been invited to speak at Rays show this year,on Brookville Lake and the walleyes, this show is awsome i must add,if ya havent got anything planned you oughta try and make it to this one,I spill all my guts on info and techniques(lol)Hope to see ya there,
Jiggin Jim
RE: ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
Jimmy gives a great seminar. If your after Walleye, you owe it to yourself to hear Jimmy speak on Brookville and Walleye in general. The guy definetly knows his Walleye and B-Ville. After hearing him made me want to switch species :+
RE: ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
Ray,
If possible can you give a schedule which seminars will be when? It's a little bit of a drive and do'nt know if I can make both days. Thanks
RE: ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
Here are the time slots for the speakers.
10:00 a.m. Carp
11:00 a.m. Stripers
12:00 p.m. Largemouth
1:00 p.m. Smallmouth
2:00 p.m. Walleye
This schedule is the same for both days. Something a little different this year.
We are also working on a Musky guest speaker for this year and should have a firm grip on it very shortly.
RE: ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
Thanks Ray,
Glad I asked because they are a little different from the webpage.
See you up there...
RE: ISC Fishing & Conservation Expo
They will be corrected shortly. We started updating the page and some other more important stuff came up and we never got back to it. Will have it completely done this weekend complete with all the vendors, etc.
