The one that got away today

Well guys no more than 4 ft water i pitch a 10inch worm peged sinker no#5 hook into a pile of small limbs--ouch it hits i sat the hook fish rolls back down comes up again gos back down i stop it pull it tight to the limb its wraped up ---o hell im on my way to get my hand in mouth 1 more foot #### it brecks--how big every bit of 8 lb.s--got 1 over my head here that is 8.9 looked just as big---why do we sat an stare at the water like the thing is coming back--I know we all do it when we loose a big one,lmbo now.---Now the rest of the story got about 25 today 4 in 18inch range 17,14 14 14 13 got in one spot made 5 casts got 5 fish 13 to 14 inch fish--byee now im tired an sad again...G L TO YOU ALL

Man I hate to hear that, big fish like that are a tough pill to swallow when your that close and break off. You're going to have up your arsenal if you plan to keep going down there. Those fish are Mean. Maybe some braided line or something. Do you think it was a true C. C fish or someplace else? You and Wormin are definatly on the biggins down there. Keep it up, and if I have to I'll go down there with you and show you how to land one of those monsters LOL:7

hey gw, I was out sunday pm and fished a lot of the main lake. boated quite a few, but no bigguns. did you make it up any of the creeks? i noticed the water was up about a foot and figured the arms would be more stained/muddy. i started getting bit and never made a run up any of the arms.

how'd they look or were you fishing main lake also?

Hey DYNATRAK the water color is why that big one was there in that spot lol,,Great color back in cedar creek the creek itself.This time of year you need some color in the old water.I would bet that fish is the same fish that guy got a few weeks a go. G L TO YOU ALL

Hey there Clyde--Cedar creek is 6 miles out of stanford ky on 150.-Lake is about 1100 acres any size on that motor--Enjoy your trip there and hold on to your rod there are fish in there that will take it away from you.lol G L TO YOU MAN

10-4 on that gw. there's a big ol 5 pounder back there that i call Old Henry. I've had him on my line twice, same spot, ate my crankbait both times. I'll get back after him soon enough.

Hey Biggw, I guess you can go for the challenge now since you've handled fish over 8 lbs over the years. But for me right now looking for the 1st. I'll take a net the size of my boat, and cable if I could get my curado to wind it. LOL Dont want my equipment to blow my shot at a Big ol Hawg. But if it kicks my butt it kicks my Butt . Then I reckon I'll go get a bigger boat , so I can get a bigger net, and start looking for some limber chain. And go huntin again. :7 :7 :7 I might be getting a day off in the middle of the week soon, I'll give you a shout, maybe we can get together. Wormin too!! P.S I'll have my net for me to use. :P
