Automatic Bilge Pump Question
I just bought one at BPS last night. I was wondering if I can use my exsisting switch, which is just an on/off switch? Or do I have to buy a new switch for it? I was hoping to be able to hook up the auto wire to the hot wire from the exsisting switch or will that not cause it to work properly?
Thank you in advance,
Jason
Re: Automatic Bilge Pump Question
You should be able to use your existing switch. If i'm not mistaken your new pump should have the ground wires, then a hot to go to the switch so it can be switched on/off manually and then a hot that goes to the battery or constant power so the automatic float will work all the time.
