I think that seeing the warranty on any rod is just as important as the rod. Most rods are good in that price range anyway. JMO

Check out the Shimono's I think they have a pretty good warranty.
Stoner
Shimano Crucial 7'MH very light and sensitive and has a lifetime over the counter warranty. I think BPS sells them for 139.99
I still like the Falcon Cara, 5 or 6 power with length from 6-6 to 7-6 length for jigs for that price range, I have 8 or 9 Falcons. My other favorite is a Castaway with HG-40 Graphite, that may be at the top of your price range.
Shimano,!!!
Over the counter warranty!! Can't beat that for the Price.

And just what is an "over the counter warranty"? If I break one, how do I use the warranty? I have more Shimano rods than anything else but I have never heard of an "over the counter warranty"!
Thanks in advance for the information.

If say you buy a Shimano Crucial rod from Backwaters and break it, for a 20.00 handling fee they will give you another one if they have it. Not all Shimano rods carry this warrenty though.

I bought Curcial rod at anglers outpost last year and broke it. They handed me a brand new off the shelf. Right over the counter. And if i rember correctly it didn't cost anything. And they are a great rod, light and very sensitive. All my rods are Shimano.
I asked BPS how they would do the warranty and they said they would just give me one off the shelf.
I like my crucial rod pretty good. It's by far my favorite crankbait rod I have. My only complaint is I'm on my 4th over the counter replacment. None of my other rods are broken. Thank god for that warranty replacement.
