Has Anyone Tried The E21 Carrot Stick Rod ?
I have my doubts about that rod. At first I thought it was something really cool, however the more I thought about it, the more it didn't appeal to me. They didn't use carrots to try and create something that's completely awesome and revolutionary - they used carrot fibers because it was cheaper than using graphite. It's 70% carrot fiber and 30% graphite.
The carrot stick was born out of a way to save a buck, but does it make the price of the rod any less?? Of course not!
Does it make the rod any better than a graphite?? Probably not.
Will I buy one? No.
This is just my opinion on the Carrot Stick.
Maybe you should try one before you let your opinion known. It kills me how one has an opinion on something they know nothing about, this is my opinion.
I heard it makes you see really good while night fishing. LoL But the jury is still out on this one. Time will tell. :D
Good One!
Who wants to catch carrots anyway?
well i guess if you forget your snacks you could eat it.or use it to catch a waskly wabbitt..
I heard they grow them in the ground....:D

Got this off the ICAST website...
"The Carrot Stix is 30% graphite and 70% carrot material. By adding Nano level cellulose bio-fibers extracted from carrots into a super high strength epoxy matrix and then molding this matrix around a thin walled ultra-high modulus graphite skeleton an extraordinary symbiotic relationship occurs between the two materials creating a rod blank that's truly "unique" in every sense of the word."
I think it's a great idea fishing is all about exploring new ideas but asking $350 is pretty bold. If this rod isn't better than a IMX-GLX Loomis quality...well I don't see how it can compete. I want to see one and pitch a jig just to see how good it is.:)
iT IS GOOD TO SEE THAT SOME COMPANIES ARE TRYING TO "GO GREEN" IN A SENSE. BY USING BIO MATERIALS IT COULD HELP PRESERVE OUR ENVIROMENT AND KEEP US PLACES TO FISH. AND IF YOU DONT LIKE THE ROD YOU CAN ALWAYS CUT IT UP AND USE IT IN SOUPS AND STEW'S. lol lol lol

OK, Carrot Stick advertising guy: back away from the thesaurus, NOW!
This guy sure loves it lol - not me some guy up North
I have used $300 Lomis's, St. Croix Avids and Legends, Kistlers, Airrus's and a lot of high end rods. And at $150 the e21 Carrot Stick blow away everyone of them. Not only the best bang for your buck rod out there but more than that imo. I have never used a better rod. I wasn't too sure at first but when I used it, it was just amazing. I'm sure Matt 5.0 will say the same thing. If you buy one, it will be the only rod you ever use again, if you don't like it, I'm always looking to buy another one. :)
