Fish and Wildlife auction
A few years back I went to the Fish and wildlife auction in Frankfort and bought an old jon boat with a hole in it. They had everything a man could want, bass boats, guns, knives, spotlights... they had it all. Does anyone know how often they do that, or when the next one might be. Talk about redneck paradise!!
Re: Fish and Wildlife auction
Got my answer from the horse's mouth, so to speak:
"IT'S THE FIRST MONDAY IN MAY AND THE LAST MONDAY IN OCT.
GOOD LUCK"

Dude, are you serious?
Picture this:
An escaped prisoner is seen near town. When the state police descend upon the town, you attempt to employ your common-sense based approach to law enforcement and are quickly rejected by the stuffy police captain. Convinced that you must do something, you decide to patrol the back roads near town. The state police is concentrating on the main roads in and out of town.
But you have a plan. You know Emma Watson lives by the old mill pond. You know Emma always bakes fresh pies about this time on Tuesdays. You know that any hungry escapee is going to head for that heavenly smell, the old mill pond, and the call of freedom as it beckons from across the pond.
A Jon boat with a hole in it is the ONLY thing that will work in that particular situation.

Nip it in the butt Barn! The best show ever in TV history, ah if we all could live in Mayberry.
Re: Fish and Wildlife auction
I would not even have to ask my fishing partner to put his finger in the hole .When he got a hit we could switch.I do hope it is in the back of the boat.
Re: Fish and Wildlife auction
The hole in question was above the water line while the boat was up on plane. So all was good as long as we didn't slow down, and forget about stopping :) It's still a good boat, we leave it at a farm pond now and a dab of marine sealant took care of that little problem ;)
