Greenwood This Monday Night
RE: BIG_CAT GROUP TRIP MONDAY.
I PLAN TO BE THERE, WILL BE IN WATER ABOUT 5 PM OR SO. I CHANGED MY AVATAR TO HELP YOU ALL RECOGNIZE MY BOAT. ALSO POSTED PICS OF BOAT UP ON THE PHOTO BOARD.
If ya see me, stop by and say "hi". I'd like to put some names to faces.
As you all run to dam, I realize the pontoon might not keep up. So if anybody is willing to do so, could you send me an email() with the places you all talk about where you catch shad, like SH__ Creek. I have river charts, so if you can tell me what mile marker, and which side (KY vs IN) I'd appreciate it. See ya all there. Will also have marine band radio on Ch 16.
Re: Greenwood This Monday Night
Hey Bob,i dont know much about mile markers but if you have a portable bait holder like a cooler with aerator, ill run ahead of you and get you some and time you get up there theyll be ready.
Thats if they are there to get....
Or if you want me to try to explain where sh__creek is call me 718-8137.
Re: Greenwood This Monday Night
Thanks sir, you are a scholar. I'll give you a ring. Appreciate the offer. I just don't want to hold you up. I'll load your phone number to my cell, and stay in contact while there. I'll also be on VHF 16 to hail.
Re: Greenwood This Monday Night
man! we ain`t ever going to get to fish john.....dam!...let bob find his own,,,in his slow pontoon!....LOLOLOLOL
Re: Greenwood This Monday Night
Bob, glad to hear you got rid of you're tin cans and string and bought a VHF radio. :) :)
Re: Greenwood This Monday Night
Ch 16,21,23 are the national ch for coast guard we should use another ch. Ch 13 is Louisville traffric,Ch 27 is Mauckport area, Ch10 is Mcbrides fleet at mile 615, I talked to Coat Gaurd and they said we could use ch 68, as far as they know this is a free ch. The creek is right between mile 610-609, it is Falling Run cr on the charts. It is about 1/2 mile below Sherman Minton Br on the In side.

Re: Greenwood This Monday Night
BIG-CAT: RE Commo channel and 68. I agree Big-Cat, you da skipper, wilco on 68. And thanks for the location of the creek, got it plotted.
FISHEATER: Sorry I didn't call, got tied up today. I'm gonna kick off the ramp early to get a running start, and will meet most of you all up there at the creek area. That way I'll have time for a couple beers :-)
PRO V: I still got the can, I just added a circuit card, 2 batteries, and antenna. I select frequencies by putting the antenna in my mouth and touching different teeth that have larger or smaller fillings. WARNING: Don't do this in a lightning storm, burnt my tongue last year at C-land in a storm.
ONEMORECAST: Douglas, have I got a surprize for you. Do you have any idea how much 2 each 20 foot pontoons can hold when filled with nitrous oxide? Do you have any idea what happens when you run a 1/4 inch feed line from each nitrous filled pontoon to a 75 Merc, and dial up 14 PSI? Wanna find out.......watch me.
P.S. If the plumming doesn't work, you all are going to see one heck of a fireworks display when I hit that little red button! And you all might witness the first pontoon boat to orbit earth.
Okay, got to run, the wife is having a hard time relining my reels, and I want to drink another cold beer while I watch her struggle with them. Something about a sweaty blonde with 20 pound test in her hair just really turns me on.......
Re: Greenwood This Monday Night
I've been keeping up with your all's thread and I won't be there due to some crazy workload....but I'll tell ya what, I'd love to see a pontoon with nitrous!
Re: Greenwood This Monday Night

Peter
Concrete block can make a good anchor down there. Haven't checked what the water is doing.

Hey fisheater is that the ramp with the yellow tent? If so I say with the weather lets put in there, I know it is short notice but, it would be better then getting stuck in bad weather.
