Palin throws Bush under the bus.
I know she would like to be President one day but her support comes from the same people that support Bush.

Excerpt from the interview.
Q. Why do you think your campaign lost?
A. I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a 10 trillion dollar debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration? If we're talking change, we want to get far away from what it was that the present administration represented and that is to a great degree what the Republican Party at the time had been representing. So people desiring change I think went as far from the administration that is presently seated as they could. It's amazing that we did as well as we did.

Well, I kind of AGREE with her.
I believe the Republicans got DRUNK on the "power drug".........did some things I don't agree with, spent a TON of money.........AND totally SCREWED the pooch with regards to the WAR.
A McCain/Palin administration would have been MORE FISCALLY conservative than the previous administration, while an Obama Admin will TRY to balance the budget, but they will do it the WRONG WAY.
It will be interesting to see how the world judges Bush in 10-20-30 years. Some of our MOST loved presidents, were HATED while in office.
Lets See.
AND as an Olive Branch.......Maybe, JUST Maybe Obama can get things done.
Lets hope he doesn't break the BANK............hold that...........BANKRUPT the REST of the banks :) :) doing it.
Later,
Geo

Wow Geo I can't believe we actually agree (kinds, sorta, maybe) on something for once. I was just a bit suprised she laid all that out there.
And I'm sure a Mcain/Palin ticket would have done a fine job running the country if they had won.
Obama has a tough row to hoe for sure.
Re: Palin throws Bush under the bus.
I am reporting this post, because someone has stolen Geo's login. LOL.
I agree with you on almost all of this.
Re: Palin throws Bush under the bus.
Whats the big deal? She is only stating what everyone already knows. The Title of this tread is misleading at best.
Good try though.

Sure it's widely known. I can say it, you can say it but with her being in the position she was in and might be in 4 years from now qualifies it as throwing him under the bus.
Good try though.

No way, your persistant I will give you that. What did she say that was wrong or misleading? I hope you don't think she is stupid enough to ruin her chances by an interview? So now if you come out and state the truth without being backed into the corner where you have no choice(Barry) your throwing someone under the bus? Naw, it's just telling it like it is.

Who said she said anything wrong or misleading?
The question asked to her was:
Q. Why do you think your campaign lost?
Here responce was basicly: because of the current Republican administrations doings (Bush).
She could have said any number of things without directly stating that is was the current Republican administration fault.
Truthful to a fault I guess.

Actually, I really think the election was lost when the economy started to TANK........
Now, what is interesting is this...........Just how much money is necessary to adversely affect our markets? I don't know the number, but I'm sure there are some NATIONS out there........those that HATE us that would do ANYTHING to help get Obama elected.
I'm not saying ANY of that happened, but It sure would be nice knowing what hedge funds started crying wolf FIRST........and WHO were the major investors.........
Hm.

Bravo Geo, that's all she had to say, "the economy". That's why I wonder why she took a shot the current Republican administration.
Sorry but I had to edit out the conspiracy theory part. :)

Now you see, how is that all Bush or the GOP's fault? Don't the crooks like Dodd and Frank of the Dems have any responsibility? Come on look at what they endorsed for so many years with the subprime lending. I know we don't agree much but this has been proven.

Defend her to the end for all I care but why start the "Now you see, how is that all Bush or the GOP's fault?" stuff when Palin is the one that basically said it was and no one else in this thread is trying to lay the blame anywhere.
If she had just said the economy or some other vague reply then that would have included all parties involved but she said "how did we run up a 10 trillion dollar debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration?" which implies it was a "Republican administration" that caused these problems.
