I used 8lb bps fluro on my spinning reel this year and had great luck with it, I really liked the increased sensitivity, and low stretch. Caught alot of fish with it on a shaky head this year, and I think alot of it was the fluoro. I think you will get alot of opinions on this, but I used the bps brand on the spinning, and cranking reels, and loved them both.
Here is some info that will help you save money and choose wisely.

I would also recommend line conditioner while your spooling and on the water. Spray it on twist and spool to reduce memory.
Good Luck,
Mark
I think the BPS flouro is OK. However, when you get into smaller diameters and strengths it tends to be a little stiff, as most flouro's. Seaguar invis-x is the best I have found for light applications. It is not near as stiff as other flouro's. I really tried everything out there for light stuff, and invis-x is the best I have found.
Seaguar hands down!
BPS XPS Flourocarbon is the best I ever used with Seaguar Invisix a clear 2nd place. Too bad I can't get any XPS local and have had to use Seaguar instead of ordering the XPS. Just my opinion but these are the two best on the market. Backfill your spool with some cheaper Mono will help you save on the Flourocarbon amount. You can put 100 yards or so in each reel and only have to buy 2 spools of Flouro if you backfill with something cheaper.
i like to use p-line fluoroclear it is a copoleymer line witch is coated i use it for just about everything just change the size of the test on diffrent styles of fishin. pretty much the only time i dont use it is when i throw top water. it seems to work well for me. but i also use line conditioner when i spool any line on my reel. i take a rag spray it down and use my 6 doller bps line spooler spray the hole it goes through and also spray the spool. since i have ben doing this my line has not broke on a fish yet, maybe a couple times but those where my fault for not retying being lazy. since i have ben using p-line fluoroclear have not broke off less it was my fault. i will say that berkley vanish is the worst line i have ever used dont wast the money on it. i have never broke off more fish in my life when using that stuff and i also used the knot they show and even tryed other knots this stuff stinks. just my 2 cents
chuck
P-Line fluoro-clear.
gama edge & sunline sniper are the two best on the market, a little pricey but they will outfish & outlast all the other brands i have tried, but until you get used to fluoro. i would start out with seguar invisx i have not found any fluoro. that lays on a spinning reel like mono but fluoro will outfish mono in most applications. jmho
I use XPS fluoro exclusively. I've never had a problem with line twist on my spinning or baitcast reels. I always spray a little reel majic or KVD line cond. on a rag or my index finger and thumb while I'm spooling my reels. I think you'll be happy with the XPS. Nothing wrong with Seaguar but Sunline and Gamma are just way too expensive for me because I like to repsool often and I can't see paying $20+ dollars for 120yds of line.
Vicious is pretty good and is at a good price. 8lb 550 yd spool around $15 from elite-fishing.com.

Elnut and Smukey gave you the best advice I could have given you. Back fill your spools with mono then put on the floro it will last you alot longer And do not waste your money on Vanish or Vanish Transition I lost a couple of tourneys this year because of it at least that is what I tell myself:). I never had so many problems with line than that stuff. But I do like Berkley 100% and that is the only floro I have used because I do not want to spend the money on anything else to see if I will like it when I already know that i am content with 100%. Floro cost's to much to mess around with.
