Christian Goodpastor update

Christian Goodpastor is a friend of my daughter and is well known to many of you on this board. She receieved this update from Christian late Tuesday. As most of you know, Christian has been listed for a second double lung transplant in North Carolina. He is at Duke University Medical Center and is active on the transplant list. Tuesday, Christian recieved the call for new lungs, but it was a dry run - the lungs from the donor were deemed unsuitable. This was his second dry run. Please continue to pray for Christian and that the "call" comes very soon. Be happy to send Christian a card but you need a room number to do so. I called the number listed on the site to get a room number and the individual there told me that they did not have him listed....maybe someone else will have better luck or you can post his room number on here.

It is with a very heavy heart that I update my original message of this morning. Christian Goodpastor passed away last night as he waited for his second double lung transplant. He was upbeat and hopeful until the end. He will be missed by many. I hope, like Christian, that he finds good fishing on the other side. My prayers are with his family and many friends.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. The Lord blessed us with the presence of Christian, even only for a little while. I never knew him but what an inspiration to us all.

I really hate to hear that. I never met him, but read something he wrote about Bowfishing (unless I am wrong). I sure hate to hear about this loss and my prayers are with the family and friends.
