Live.........From DALE Hollow..........
Man, what a DRIVE...........kind of like Ice Skating with a 4wd......but we made it safe and sound.
TheBassMan30 and I decided to leave today, instead of tomorrow morning, and I think that was the call.
We're at the State Park Lodge, and the roads were pretty good once we passed Etown.........but UP to there...........MAN o MAN...........talk about some CRAZY drivers............
I will post a report tomorrow.
Later,
Geo

I may be Certifyable Floatnflyable but you 2 fellas are just plain out CERTIFYABLE. Glad you are there George now go catch some fish the next couple of days. Good call on leaving today because even the grass is ice skating rinks here in Georgetown much less the roads. Danville has no power, literally the entire city has no power, plus they are on a conserve water advisory. My dad in Wolfe Co has been without power since noon, my wife's family in Mackville has been without power since noon and my sister in Lancaster lost power tonight about 7pm. Hope you fellas can launch safely in the morning and have a safe trip. Elnut

Re: Live.........From DALE Hollow..........
Good call im sure it is better there than here....we have power in my area of danville but who knows for how long.........we only lost it for 4 hours yesterday and a few minutes overnight.........but most of danville is without power and a state of emergency has been declared............we have KU and they seem to be alot better than the intercounty as far as bieng able to keep the power on..........................................

Re: Live.........From DALE Hollow..........
Fishing has been TOUGH........we had opportunities on 8 fish, with 7 legit pulldowns........3 of those turned into decent hookups, and we landed those......
weather was BRUTAL. It started out raining this morning.......and then dumped about 1 inch of sleet, and then about 2 inches of snow.............UGLY.
Funny thing though........the ramp at state park was FINE.....not bad putting in, and even better pulling out...........the ramp is REALLY good..........

I am just going to flat out say it out in the PUBLIC. Based on the pictures that Rick posted, the conditions could NOT, I repeat NOT, have been any more perfect. Rain, sleet, snow UGLY are you kidding me? You would think you fellas are trying to catch fish shallow in April at Ky and Barkley just after a huge cold front passed thru. Basically, George and Mark what I am saying is that you 2 fellas just FLAT OUT CAN'T FISH or should I say you CAN FISH, just NOT CATCH. I am posting this publicly because I am 110% jealous that you are there and I am not. There are a few more on here that feel the exact same way that I do and I am speaking on their behalf as well. You all know who you are, the FNF Heads just like me.
PS - Thanks for the call last night and glad you both are safe. Hope you catch them today and make it back to the room safely as well. If you get into any kind of trouble, I mean any kind of trouble and need anything, more hot chocolate, your boat won't start, an extra tube of fish dope, run out of FNF jigs, lose a glove or hat, anything, just call me and it will give me an excuse to pull my boat down there on Saturday and bring you what you need. And since I will pull my boat, I might as well fish. Elnut
Re: Live.........From DALE Hollow..........
I am with elnut, jealous of you guys down there. but then again my boat is frozen to my driveway and I couldnt get it out if I had to. I will be down there the weekend of the 14th feb. So leave some of them brown fish for me.

Sitting here at work, HATING life in the fact that my hands are not frozen, sleet is not smacking me in the face, cheeks and nose are not froze, nose is not running like a faucet, and my FNF rod is not bent double in good old hand to hand combat with one of "Them Ol Brownfish". Elnut
Re: Live.........From DALE Hollow..........
