Muslim love tour
Well let the hugging begin. We have an economy that is UNDER the toilet not in it, and the great BHO is over there spending the night with a Sultan wiping his ass with velvet on a Gold plated toilet. It makes me want to physically vomit!
O.K. someone again remind me why I care two lousy spits why muslims like me? I know I'm just a dumb public school educated redneck hillbilly but I really don't care out the Muslim world........AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Muslim love tour
Its part of the approach to end radical muslim terrorists. We do the first part real well: killing them. Its the second part that we do not do so well on: stopping them from recruiting others. If they have less reason to hate us, there is less chance for recruiters to sign up more extremists for the cause. It also increases the chance that the less radical folks will turn in the radical ones if they hear about violent plots. Long-term: helps prevent, or at least lessen the chance for another 9-11. Thats the cliff note version.

Andrew, do you honestly think that us being nice is going stop violence that has been going on since before the birth of Jesus Christ, come'on brother I mean really. Look me in the eye with a straight face and tell me that us kissing ass has ever stopped any of their violent acts. What did we do to deserve 9/11, nothing my friend absolutely nothing. It's all one big huge fat waste of time money and resources.

I'm with you on this one. How can you reason with extremists? I don't think it's possible so kill them and let Allah sort them out.

Absofreekinglutely. A badass Marine once told a media Geek something I'll never forget and has stuck with me since. This was post 9/11 and he was asked something about Asama Bin Laden and he said,...''It's not my job to judge Bin Laden that's God's job mine is just to arrange the meeting''. Hoo Rah, Get-R-Done!

You're right, we can't reason with extremists. And if we could easily pick out those who would kill all westerners on sight, I'd say fine, shoot 'em, although I think a worse punishment would be life in prison, so that they couldn't be glorified as "martyrs." But not all Muslims are extremists, or even a majority of them. There are quite a number of them who, while they don't necessarily like America, their beef (legit or not) is with the "gubment" (as you like to call it), not with the American people. Those are the ones Obama is reaching out to, and what's wrong with that?

Nothing, but don't you think we have much bigger fish to fry right now then to be running all over the Eastern world trying to get people to like us. Why is it so important for everybody to like us. Not everybody likes me I guess, I'm alright with that. I like most everybody but I've met a few in my life I couldn't like if I had a gun held to my head.
Mr Wonderful is trying to do way to much to fast and is failing miserably at almost all of it. We need now more than ever to worry about America and it's struggling people. Protect us vigourously if need be and concentrate excusively all resources and dollars and cents to our cause and nobody else period. Name the last President who spent the night with a Sultan, I'm just curious??????

With that reasoning....Makes you wonder why they killed thousands of innocent people in the 911 plane crashes if their beef was with the gubment? Does that make it ok since these American and loved ones were just collateral damage? In the name of Allah?
What about the bombings through the years on american soldiers? They are just working for the gubment but not the gubment. How is that justified?
Why do we (I) need to care what a Muslim likes or dislikes? I stand by my belief that if you are caught doing anything against the United States or conspiring to attack us (muslim extremist or not) your toast.
I don't have the mental capacity to worry about groups of people who have done nothing in my eyes that is productive to this country and then expect my benefit of the doubt on fair treatment.
The Muslim community should be standing tall and shouting from the highest building that they are not affiliated with these losers but I don't remember seeing that do you?
Your right killing them is too easy....Life in prison cost me money so maybe just making them work for GM and Obama would be better?:p

Re: Muslim love tour
Work for GM that is the funniest thing I have heard all week.

It’s not the extremists that we are reaching out too. I agree with you, the only way that we will stop extremists is with a bullet or cluster bombs. As RoadToad noted, it’s the rest of the people that we want to reach. Basically show them that we are not satan as the extremists claim. I think you'll find that the majority of muslins are for peace. A number of those are indifferent to us due to various US policies and not following through with what we say. If we can turn their opinion (i.e., win the hearts and minds), then the extremists will have fewer places to hide, fewer people wanting to join them, and more people standing up to them.
I agree, attacks on various embassies, the Cole, 9-11 were not deserved. Those attacks were solely the work of extremists. In short, their view is that you either convert to Islam or you die. It makes no difference to extremists if you are civilian or military. You are not a Muslim, so you are an infidel, and; therefore, must die. I fully support the bullet to the head philosophy towards extremists.
I wish it was as easy as turn the place into glass. We do that part very well. Unfortunately it is not as simple as that. If you want to stop people from becoming extremists, you have to reach them in some way. If you can do that, them you will marginalize the few extremists that still exist. Marginalized like that and they’ll find it real difficult to wage their jihad. In the long run, by reaching out to the general populations you’ll save $$ and lives over the long run. Yes, it is worth it.
Andrew
PS, The Bushes were pretty close with the Saudi royal family. Some of them may have spent some time at their palaces over the years, both while in or out of office. Don’t know for sure.

That would be George W. Bush in January of 2008. He spent two days in Saudi Arabia and stayed at the king's horse farm.
