Bass Pro Shop

Hey I heard a rumor yesterday and wanted to know if anyone else has heard it,,,,A friend of mine works for LG&E and said that Bass Pro shop has purchased all the ground beside The Jefferson Mall and was going to be putting a store there,,,man that would be nice,,,,,Has anyone heard anything about it?

The BPS web site of future stores doesn't show anything for this area. It may be true, but until I see something more, I have trouble believing that they would put two stores within 20 miles of each other.

Yea I don't think that they would put one there. There is a reason the original was built it Indiana. BPS doesn't want to pay the high taxes that Jefferson Co puts on all of us. However I did hear rumors about Cabela's showing interest in buying the old cinema property right off 71 in Erlanger, KY. It is still up in the air right now. Boy that would be sweet to have BPS and Cabela's within a hour or so from each other.

I'm A BPS I have not heard anything and the last I heard we were the largest store this side of Miss. But they build them stores left and right. Sells are good right now and don't see a move in the future. This not a official statement!!!!!!

Any chance this was a BPS defensive move to remove a competitors potential site in close proximity (IN) to one of there stores. :confused:

I wish the Gander Mountain in Evansville, IN was a Cabelas or a BPS!!!

Nothing agains Gander Mountain, but I just like the other two, especially the Cabelas.
