colder temps on CR
water temp was 62 yesterday and today at Burksville so you know it's a little colder up stream. Has anybody noticed the lake level is going up even though they're pulling 11,900cfs and it hasn't rained in a few days? What's the deal?
Anybody been? Hopefully by Thursday they'll slow it down some so I can go fishing...

Re: colder temps on CR
Good news TC, I hope this helps everything down there. Maybe the cool weather showed up just in time.

Re: colder temps on CR
Yes that's good news indeed!
As for "it not raining for a couple days", it takes some time (sometimes substantial time) for "all" the runoff water to make it into LC, from CR, Laurel, Rockcastle rivers , creeks, streams upstream etc.

Re: colder temps on CR
Water temps will continue to fall, and the fishing will just get better and better! With no more rain in the forecast till possibly tuesday, I say that they will start cutting back the CFSs sometime this weekend. I am heading up there on Friday with a buddy (upstream from Burkesville), I'll report back on conditions and give a fishing report when I get back! Good times are near my CR friends!

Re: colder temps on CR
Looks like I'm out for thursday because it's just running too hard, but I hope you have good one Rich. I'll probably head to Cedar Creek again. Good days ahead though!!

Re: colder temps on CR
Cancelled our trip tomorrow due to water conditions. We'll try and hit when it improves. Next trip planned is on the 18th. Take care.

Sorry about the trip...hope the 18th works out for you. I went to Cedar Creek yesterday and killed the bass, so my day wasn't a total loss, althougth I'm missing the river in a big way!

I have a boat and I still don't care for it at 10,000. I find myself fooling around with the boat more than fishing. I like it in between no flow and 4,000. Hope you are able to have some luck...rainbow run has never been nice to me, but everything from black bear creek down to rock house has produced.
