I'm very surprised. I'm wondering if Strong would have stayed if he knew this was coming? Think Strong is having regrets? Any news on who will be next?

Tom Dinehart mentions several candidates and never mentions Strong. He does however mention Bob Stoops as number one on the list along with Kevin Sumlin; Chris Petersen; Gary Patterson; Kyle Whittingham; Dan Mullen; Mike Shanahan.

I find it very hard to believe that Strong won't be asked to return....don't you? I mean the guy has been such a part of the program. Stoops would be cool as well.

Has Gruden been mentioned?

I just don't think Foley will go after someone with no head coaching experience, considering how well the Ron Zook experiment turned out for them.

I would have to think Gruden would be considered, that would be a homerun for sure.
