How much snow will we get
Man this snow deal at the end of the week has got these weather people around here in a lather. They are excited as chickens after June bugs, especially that John Belski. I've never seen a full grown man get that Giddy over snowfall, lol.
I'm saying 2.5 inches here in the Louisville metro area. South of E-Town I'm saying 3 to 6 inches. Farther south you go maybe 6 or 7 inches.
What's your guess for your area and we'll compare notes after the white blanket of death falls on us.
Re: How much snow will we get
Five inches will head toward Frankfort, but then Beshear will announce we can only afford three inches and the General Assembly will have to come up with a way to pay for the other two.

LOL, if they would get off their rears in Frankfort and pass expanded gaming, the tax revenue generated would more than cover the extra two inches of snow!

If it wasn't for that Nimrod David Williams it would already be passed. That guy was the reason they had SHORT BUSES.

Lol! I only add that another Sin tax will be imposed on smokers for the additional 2 inches.:p
Re: How much snow will we get
Not sure what forecasts you all are looking at, but the first time I've ever seen the National Weather Service put any amount on it was today.
Here's my prediction:
Louisville, Frankfort, Cincinnati: Less than 1 inch
Lexington, Central KY: 1-1.25 inches
Southern KY - Jamestown, Bowling Green, etc. 3-3.5 inches.

Mark, did you ever make ice cream out of snow when you were a child? I did and it was delicious. I would be afraid to try it now; pollution has ruined another one of the simple pleasures of life.
This (Thursday) morning our Emergency Weather Alert says we will have 1/2 to 3/4" of ice followed by 1" of wet snow on Friday afternoon. Friday night we will have significant snow accumulations of 4-8 inches. They are warning us of hazardous road conditions, downed trees, and power outages; specifically mentioned thick ice accumulation on power lines.
It sounds like a replay of the snow storm we had about a month ago. Some of the people here were without power, phones, and water for about four weeks. We were blessed and were without for only about three days.
