Hot Mama?
Guys, I need your thoughts on something that I don't understand. Within the past 2 months I have had 2 MRIs, an MRA last Friday, a Fluoroscopy and an EKG. Now my watch won't run when I put it on my arm. It runs while it is in the jewelry chest but when I put it on my arm it stops. I had it and the battery tested and it is in perfect operating condition.
Is it possible that I have become so magnetized from the MRIs and MRA that it's making my watch stop? I wasn't wearing any jewelry or other metals when I had the procedures.
Any ideas?

Re: Hot Mama?
I don't know but I can't wear digital watches for that reason and Analog watches don't last long. I guess it's possible...are you taking meds that increase your iron?

My dad has the same problem. He can wear a Seiko but no luck with other watches.

Re: Hot Mama?
I used to wear a watch....but now that I've got a cell phone it seems like that thing not only acts as a phone, but it's also a watch, time clock, alarm, calculator, email transmitter, news channel, camera, gps and probably does some other stuff I don't even know about...so I ditched the watch.

My sister whom is no longer with us, God rest her soul, could never wear a watch her entire life. Never mattered the type, cost, quality, nothing she could stop them all.

Re: Hot Mama?
I never had any trouble until I had the magnetic examinations. Have been wearing this watch for about a year with no problems until now; it's weird. I think I'll go by the Mercedes dealer and see if I will stick to the door of a new ride. lol

Re: Hot Mama?
Magnetism cannot exist without electricity, and vice versa. So even if your watch won't run, on the plus side, you'll be able to jump-start a car with your fingers. And make a light bulb glow by sticking it in your mouth, like Uncle Fester. Great at parties.

Ohhh! Now I get it. I just need to jump start my watch. If magnetism can't exist without electricity why do magnets have both a positive and negative side. Positives hold them together, negatives push them apart. Where is the electrical source? There is no generator. lol

Re: Hot Mama?
Bug,
Good news is if your are magnetized, you will be a real navigational asset to anyone you fish with. They just have to determine your center of balance to get a good reading of true north. :-)
