My Letter to Obama
I just got back from the Post Office and mailing this letter to Obama,with copies furnished to Pelosi, Reid, McConnell, Bunning and Guthrie.
Mr. President,
Obama said, summing up. "I don't need a poll to know that most Republican voters are opposed to this bill and might be opposed to the kind of compromise we could craft.” "And if we can't," he added, "I think we've got to go ahead and make some decisions, and then that's what elections are for. "
I will not go into the reasons why, but I have been an avid follower of American politics since 1957 when I was 19 years old. I have voted in every General Election since I turned 21 and that includes many by Absentee Ballot during my 23 years of Active Duty with the United States Army and two tours of duty in Viet Nam. I have always registered and considered myself to be an Independent. I have voted for Democrats and Republicans.
I tell you this, because in all that time, I have never seen a President nor a Political party that were so intent on disregarding the will of the American people and I don’t mean just Republicans. Every poll that I have seen over the last year, indicated that, to one degree or another, most Americans, oppose your drive for Socialized Healthcare.
You have done enough to bankrupt our country with all your excessive spending, please stop your drive to add trillions of dollars to an already burgeoning deficit by passing your Healthcare. Besides the fact that it is a terrible system, WE SIMPLY CANNOT AFFORD IT. Nor can we afford all of your other excessive socialist spending.
PLEASE STOP BANKRUPTING AMERICA because if you don’t, we will vote you and all of your cronies out of office.

Grumpy,as sad is it is to say,I actually believe the goal of Obama and the Socialist Libs is to Bankrupt this country.They think if they can break us,they will be able to rebuild the country the way they want it,sort of communistic in my opinion.I don't know what else you call it when in a supposed Democracy and a majority oppose the plan,yet they continue to force it down your throat.Everyone better remember in each and every election from here on out.;)

KYFANATIC, I have thought exactly the same thing and firmly believe that they want to remake America into a Socialist state UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE UNITED WORLD GOVERNMENT (which will be the successor to the United Nations within a few years).
What really scares me though, is the possibility that after they have completely bankrupted us, the Chinese and the Arab countries will demand payment for the bills we owe and will want to take over control of our country as payment when we cannot pay. And don't laugh or think this is far fetched or couldn't happen, because that is exactly the reason why China and the Arabs are loaning us money--TO GET CONTROL OF US IN PAYMENT!!

Parker, if you are referring to my last post to kyfanatic, YES, I do think the bankruptcy of America and the takeover by foreign governments is not only possible but PROBABLY if we keep going the way we are today. Watch what happens to Greece in the next year and that will give you a good indication what can happen here.

Fine letter Grumpy. I can't help but think that the goal of these radicals include beating us down (in the disguise of helping) only to come to the rescue with gubment controlled fixes. This includes Housing, Healthcare, Energy and Transportation.

Glad you wrote that letter Grumpy. I haven't much cared for some of your own governing ways on fishin.com but the letter you wrote was right on! Nice work!!
As for a World United Government...It doesn't seem to be a far fetched idea to me. All I am is just a home boy for the most part, but the Architectural/Engineering Company I work for (less than 100 employee's) is chasing work not only all over the United States but also all over the world (Dubias being one such country). So to me...yes, a Global Government doesn't seem to be to far out there in my own opinion.

I wrote alot of letters late last year and early this year to the same folks as Grumpy and many other of our fearlesss "Leaders".Only a few replied Jim Bunning (who is about done anyway),Geoff Davis who seems to be along with our values,Mitch McConnell who seems to be right along with the "Global Economy" one world order ideaology.
Funny,but no reply from the Obama or Pelosi camps after several letters,you'd think they would have several folks in charge of PR at least returning a pre-recorded response.I rarely fall into the conspiracy theory category,but something doesn't smell right in Washington this time around and it's not Michelle's septic waste in the White House Garden either.

Kyfanatic, I copied this from a previous post I made:
"When I write a letter to the President, to voice my opinon for or against something, I always send a courtesy copy to my Congressional Representative, my two Senators, and to the Speaker of the House and President of the Senate. When i send an email, I send the same thing to each, except for the Speaker of the House and the Senate.
I was cleaning out my desk this morning and found something very interesting, to me at least. In 2009, I wrote seven letters and sent seven emails to the President. I received 14 replies from Congressman Brett Gutherie; 14 replies for Senator Mitch McConnell; four replies from Senator Jim Bunning; and ONE repLY from the President; ZERO replies fron Nancy Pelosi; and ZERO replies fron Harry Reid.
Since I am not a constituent of the Speaker of the House nor the head of the Senate (usually), it is not unusual that they did not reply although many have in the past. Bill Clinton is the ONLY President that NEVER REPLIED to any of my letters. At least Obama is one up on him."
Two additional comments: First I found a way that I can send emails to the Speaker of the House and Senate, which i will do from now on when I email the President, but I still do not expect a reply from them. I don't care if they reply, I just want them to know how I feel.
Second, I have written letters to EVERY President since and including Dwight D. Eisenhower and, until I wrote to Clinton, everyone of my letters was acknowledted, even if they didn't like what I had to say. Clinton never answered even one letter (I didn't use email then) and, as I said above, Obama has only replied once.
Even when I don't get replies, I know some staffer is making a tickmark and letting them know how I feel. It is still worth the time and effort to sound off.
