Excellent Day on Rough River!!!

Day started off with 48.2 degree water temps in North Fork @ 0830. Worked some bank lines on channel swings with cb's and managed only 4 shorties. Shot further up creek and hit 50.0 degree water temps by 1030. Caught 4 more shorties and 1 keeper, around 16", all on cb's in about 5-6 ft of water. Came across a shallow point around 1200 and instantly was on a school of hybrids. Hooked and landed 12 hybrids in roughly 45 minutes of furious action. Hybrids ranged from 3-7lbs, all hitting cb's in 2-3 ft of water. Water temp was 52.3. Continued to work that point until 1530, managing two keeper LMs @ 16" & 18", as well as 6 more hybrids, all on cb's. When I left, water temps were 53.2. Best color cb was red crawdad. Really fun day! Now it's fish fry time! (hybrids) :D

Lipless or just regular?

Thanks for the info. I also LOVE to see somebody have a good day of fishing like you did. I wish the WHOLE world could experience that kind of success. But, it's just not that way.

Thanks! It truly was a day to remember. I just wish I had somebody else with me to enjoy it! My father-in-law is my usual fishing bud, but he is out-of-town, so I was flying solo! When I told him about my day......he DIED! Just one of those special moments....right place, right time. And man, those Hybrids FIGHT!!! :D

Thankyou. I'll claim the girl, but the little boy is my nephew. :) His dad doesn't fish, so he was pretty excited to see those fish at Uncle Rich's house! :D Take care.

Thanks Rock. I was blessed with a beautiful wife who allowed me to have a beautiful daughter! :) She is a chip off the old block when it comes to fishing! She was beyond excited with those fish......she loves a good fish fry! :D
