Cats are on the ground but can somebody please tell me what U of L had to do with it.
I stand corrected, because Louisville is in the state of Kentucky which touches West Virginia and because West Virginia is in the Big East conference, the same as Louisville, then all teams residing in a state that touches the boundaries of Kentucky or the Big East conference are hereby "Officially on the U of L roster". This is the ONLY way Louisville Basketball will ever have a chance against the Big Blue.
History lesson, 1986 and you say we live in the past. I do believe UK has 2 titles a full 10 years after Louisville's last glory day, but since you are happy for an Elite 8, then I guess you consider those Back to Back Elite 8 seasons as technically NCAA Champions. Do they even give out banners for Elite 8 teams? Surely you know since this is considered a successful season for the Big Red.
Shall I continue to prove the point, beat the dead horse point
No different, One side Bleeds Red the other Bleeds Blue

Crasp Woody, the only team I see around these parts celrbating an Elite 8 appearance are the Cats from last season. You remember that team, five first round draft picks, the greatest day in UK basketball history. I heard they were going to hang an Elite 8 banner for that team, but the figured it would eventually have to take it down.

Considering from the Depths of Hell that UK came from (By historical standards), first year after Drunken Billy and an early out in the NIT to the Elite 8 is a small first step. Plus, we were going to hang an Elite 8 Banner but with all the NCAA Champ, SEC Champ, Final Four and other banners in the rafters, there just was not any room. Unlike the Yum Center, which I have never been in, but I hear has PLENTY of rafter space still available. So much so, they are renting it out to Lee's Famous Recipe, Taco John's and Captain D's to hang a few signs from hoping to stir up a little more income for the "Bottom Line Profit Margin".

I am not sure I would brag about an SEC banner> ;)

I'd say you scored a touchdown already no need to spike the ball! Highly entertaining but it goes to show the stability in the state of Kentucky is kinda like the middle east - the factions have been at war for centuries and no outsider will break it up!!!!

Surely your not going to say that a CONFERENCE USA Banner is better than a SEC Banner? If not CUSA then I guess a BE Banner is better? So how many conference banners be it, 2 in CUSA and 1 BE banner? In the same period I know Tubby had 2 for sure and now Calipari has 2. Last time I checked even hillbillies with no shoes no teeth could figure out that 2+1 is not equal to or greater than 2+2. With Louisville so happy with their profit margin surely somebody over there can do simple addition. And to think all of this domination by the Big Blue was done during the Head Coach revolving door. No telling what would happen in stability set in for the Big Blue Head Coach.

Not until they merge the two and form one University in Frankfort and call it Kentucky State

Yes I might. After all, at the time Louisville won C-USA banners, your current head coach couldn't win one. Of course he had all those problems beating Louisville, Marquette and Cincy. Guess what happened when those three schools left.....suddenly Cal and Mempiss finally get to hang a C-USA banner. Remember Louisville was in C-USA when they went to the Final Four. I believe Marquette pimp slapped Tubby and the Cats on their way to the final four. You might want to go back and see how many times C-USA teams knocked your Cats out of the tourney. I know UAB and Marquette did LOL!
Also, it is five banners, but like you said about math! 1 C-USA regular season and 2 tourney banners, plus a Big East regular season and a Big East tourney banner. Oh I almost forgot the Final Four banner while we are in C-USA. ;)

You keep having other teams do your dirty work. Last year it was West Virginia, UAB, Marquette and this year it will be whomever beats UK. C-USA can't hold the SEC's jock in comparison to Basketball tradition and titles. How many schools won the NCAA Basketball tourney while members of C-USA? How many titles total? If it is more than Kentucky's 7 plus Florida's 2 plus Arkansas's 1 equals 3 teams 10 titles, then I bow to the greatness of the C-USA, hell throw in the Metro Conference and add them together just so you can say Louisville has 2 and where do you come out in the comparison? We will agree to disagree. I say UK is the best and Pitino is Pathetic. You say Louisville is the best and Calipari is Pathetic. The proof is in the pudding as they say, and the pudding in this case is RESULTS. Louisville will NEVER EVER EVER EVER catch UK in the number of conference championships or NCAA championships. They will continue to be the inferior University IN Ketucky and not the University OF Kentucky!!!
