Was wondering if anyone is planning on going to the Louisville Boat and RV Show this week/weekend. Bradley Roy will be giving some seminars this year...which would be the only reason I would spend $8.00 to park and another $9.00 to get in the door. I didn't go last year as I was told by several people that it was pretty disappointing.
If anyone goes before Saturday please let me know if it's worth a 30 minute drive.

Save the $17.00 and go to your favorite local tackle shop.:)

I will be there on Saturday. Gonna try and make the seminars at 11 and noon that day. Its a good show for us because my Dad goes with me and he is retired and into RV'ing as much as he is into Bass fishing. So we can usually entertain ourselves for a while. Then to top it off, it is a tradition for Dad and I to buy our Hunt/Fish combo license and to put in for teh Elk draw at the show every year.
Oh... and i like the funnel cake.

People can say what they think about the Louisville Boat Show is a let down, not worth the time, money, etc...Some years I go, some years I don't. When I go I usually end up running into people I know, so that's a plus...plus I know a couple of vendors there every year so it's good to catch up with them "in between seasons". It's always good to stop by the fish and wildlife booth, like one of the other posters wrote, that's usually when I also get my new fishing license.
If you really want to throw some money away for admission and parking, go to Carl Casper....I can't believe they allow some of those "show cars" to be entered, and now that they've combined it with the "New Car Show"....it's just lame in my opinion. Kind of like the Street Rod Nationals allowing cars up 1980 something to enter as opposed to pre-1949 and older. I know both of these events had to make the changes for monetary reasons, but niether show is no where like they used to be, not at all.

Just a comment ,the CIncinnati Boat show used to be a lot of fun, lots of guides, tackle and vendors.
It was ruind 4-5 yrs ago due to greed of the show operators. They pushed most all of the above mentioned to make space for boats (more $$).
Now it's more fun to go to the Cin Bass pro.
I understand Lousville used to be a good show as well.

LMAO they always do have flea market crap set up at every event. you go to see a concert and they got a Billy Mays around every corner.
