Re: Wow--9 1/2 pd largemouth
and....ive just about given up on crankbaits entirely. great
Re: Wow--9 1/2 pd largemouth
I guess every lure has a time and a place. I only fish crankbaits about 30 % off the time.
Re: Wow--9 1/2 pd largemouth
Biggest Largemouth I've even seen caught came from a firetiger flat A bomber.
My buddy waterboy though he was hooked on a log.....that is until that log exploded like a FIRECRACKER.
that log weighed nearly 10lbs..........
BooYA.

Re: Wow--9 1/2 pd largemouth
I used to hate crankbaits to but they have become one of my fav. Baits. And my biggest bass came on a red crawdad crankbait two years ago in April and it was 7.8 pounds. So now I have a lot of confidence in a crankbait that I didn't have before and I always have one tied on. So don't give up on them yet don't be afraid to get them hung up and bump them off the bottom. Get a pocket knocker it helps a lot.

Re: Wow--9 1/2 pd largemouth
I don't fish tournaments so it's easy (easier) for me to NOT give up on any type of lure, whether it be cranks, jigs, spinnerbaits or whatever. There have been times that I have gotten down right stubborn about using a certain lure that hasn't done much for me in the past, I'll tie it on and fish with it till I catch something. I'll try everything I've read in the books, etc...until I feel good about using the lure.
On the flip side though, we all have our favorite go to lures during different times of year, at different lakes, etc.
