Went fishing today and the water temp was between 46 to 48 degrees and stained,there is alot of standing timber both deep and shallow and im not sure on what bait would work in these type conditions.Any help would be appreciated

Its hard to beat a spinner bait. Caught 5 and missed 2 in a pond today. The water was heavy stained and guessing in the high 40's. All fish were in about 2 foot of water right on the bank.
We managed three today on Jigs and tubes. Turned a few nice ones that got off. With the water color, temp and fishing wood I'm tossing a Jig or tube around the sunny banks in sheltered coves.

Yeah, you can't get much closer to water than that.
Not sure about timber, but I know a fellow who just won a bass tourney on Cherokee targetting smallmouths in 35-40 ft of water using a 2 inch Flitterbait. Worked it like a jig.
