Yea, blame congress, yet it was the PRESIDENT who pushed through the spending, it was the PRESIDENT who signed the healthcare law, it was the PRESIDENT who extended unemployment benefits....It was the PRESIDENT who stood by on the sidelines while we melted down.
It is the PRESIDENT who needs to stand up and LEAD.
It will be nice in a couple years when we replace him with someone ANYONE who knows how to lead.
He will go down in history as the worse president in the history of the world.
BTW..........he already has a few firsts.....the latest being the FIRST and only President to be at the helm when we've been downgraded.
THANK YOU
Re: USA Credit Rating Down Graded! Thanks!!
Hope all yall with mortgages have fixed rates.
Re: USA Credit Rating Down Graded! Thanks!!
Where were those rating agencies several years ago, when those questionable mortgage packages were being foisted on half the worlds economys? That may have signaled a questionable practise was being pushed by the biggest lending and brokerage houses? So now the banks that we bailed out, are going to raise the cost of borrowing money.Yes he sat on his hands,so did congress.Of course now the big oil companys will say they have another valid reason to raise prices on gasoline.

That's right Geo...the first true major Presidential Idiot this United States has ever seen.
Let me also bring to light that it is now being reported that a two trillion dollar "error" was made in Standard and Poor's calculations, of course this is what the guys at the U.S. Treasury are saying anyway. Makes me wonder a couple of things.
a) Was an error REALLY made in the calculations? (I mean who has the ability to count as high as one trillion anyway? I don't think I have enough spaces on the calculator to show that many digits in the first place). I can see there being a few cents, a few dollars or even a couple of million dollars of being miscalculated, but a two trillion dollar miscalculation? C'mon!! I'm calling B.S. on this one!
b) Who's lying, the U.S. Treasury or Standard and Poor?
Geo...one more thing to add to the list about the President....I seriously believe it is in his interest to see this country fail....I sort of thought this when he got elected, plus I had one or two people express this concern to me. At the time I thought the people saying such things were reading to much into it, or had watched to much science fiction or read to many murder mysteries or whatever...but now, after having seen all of the stupid things this POTUS has done, watched the country become gradually worse off under his watch, etc...I'm believing more and more everyday that in the deep dark recesses of President Barrack Hussein Nobama's mind that he really does want to bring this country down. I seriously do not think a President could be a stupid as he is. One has to ask...is he REALLY that stupid or does he REALLY want to see this country fail?
Re: USA Credit Rating Down Graded! Thanks!!
Guess I'm just dim witted!...But thinking we need to elect more responsible individuals to Congress. Ranting and Raving, and blaming all of the governments/peoples problems on the current Pontus solves nothing. We all share some responsibility for the current situation.
What about TERM LIMITS. Think that might go a little bit of the way towards getting things on the right track?
Re: USA Credit Rating Down Graded! Thanks!!
Ohhhhhh.....it's gonna get deep fella's.....China bluntly criticized the United States today (saturday) one day after the credit rating was downgraded, basically saying to the U.S. that the "good old days" of borrowing are over. China scorned the United States for its "debt addiction" and "short sighted" political wrangling.
Of course we're China's biggest creditor, but anyway China went on to say that Washington only had itself to blame for its plight and called for a new stable global reserve currency.
Well....I agree with China....the blame lays squarely in Washington D.C.!! But at the same time....Listen you short, sawed off little black haired, slant eyed (insert expletive here). I never cared much for your product to begin with. China man you ever heard of a shotgun, a rifle and a four wheel drive?

Re: USA Credit Rating Down Graded! Thanks!!
Yes 2 terms, and out! 10yrs before you are allowed to lobby. And JAIL terms for the swindlers who instigated that mortgage swindle. If Joe the plumber walked into a bank and stole 100 bucks, he.d go to prison. But white collar swindlers go scott free, and get bonuses.

They were giving those guys AAA ratings and still are I think.
Anyone besides me think this might actually be a good thing?
I mean maybe now both sides will have to do a better job of working together, that means not saying no to new taxes, not saying no to cutting entitlements, put an end to the grandstanding............. Actual get crap done like adults from here on out.
Then again I'm probably giving them to much credit for being smart enough to figure it out.

The AAA rating of Fannie Mae and those other companies will probably drop, too, as a result of the country's rating dropping. But in the long term we may end up better off. At least, I don't see it as the catastrophe some are making it out to be. We didn't get downgraded to "junk" status. We're still considered a good credit risk. And S&P isn't the only rating agency out there. Canada and Japan's economies grew 15% and 25%, respectively, in the 12 months after they got downgraded back in the 90's. No, I'm not saying it's a "good" thing, but it's not the end of the world.

Yeah I probably should have worded it a little differently than I did. Was just thinking maybe this will be the smack in the face we needed to wake us up.
