I talked to a friend of mine who fishes back in everliegh and he said he is getting crappie limits in a couple hours and since he lives so close he can do it a few times a day. He also said there was some guys cleaning house on the stripes using night crawlers..
You might want to call and make sure they have minnows before you go..

Does you friend know what the word LIMIT means. A limit is the amount of fish you are allowed to keep in ONE day.There is a reason for there being a limit. I am sure your friend wouldn't like for you to mention his name to the discussion board. I am sure the game warden would love to meet your friend..If he gets caught I hope he has a pocket full of cash.
I Just got back wasnt that lucky but caught 15 keepers yesterday afternoon and 20 this morning saw a couple stripper jumps. n:Dce 2 days
I talked to him today and he thought the limit was 15 and Possession was 30. He also had another person in the boat so he was well with in the law..:p

Possession doesn't mean you can catch 2 limits in the same day. Who's law is he within..the poachers law. Your buddy must really be happy with you spilling the beans.
2 people 45 fish in one day SOOOOOOOO! what law did they brake.? At first he didnt tell me there was 2 of them fishing and I have seen more under sized fish being kept then you can imagine. I can with out a dought tell you that they were all 9" or bigger.
A possession limit is 2 times the daily creel limit for all fish species with a daily creel limit and EXCLUDES PROCESSED FISH..
I won't get into a piszing contest with you about the law so let make it were you can under stand it OK!
Once he goes home cleans his fish puts them in his refrigerator this is a PROCESSED FISH and no longer counts as any kind of daily or creel limits..
Now if you are at a camp site and you clean your fish the same holds true but if you have whole fish in your cooler ( Unprocessed) at your camp site then you have to abide by the daily and possession limt set forth.....He did not brake any laws........

I'm going to go down in the morning and see what I can find. I just need to make some phone calls and find out were most of the people are fishing and try to stay away from them as they have no dought cleaned out the crappie..
I don't the the issue here is did he brake the law because as it turns out, according to you there was 2 people and they kept 45 fish. Fine no law broken. The issue is you said they caught a limit, went home and cleaned them, then returned to the lake to catch a second limit and possibly a third for the day. It just so happened that in their ignorance they didn't realize the limit was 30 and not 15. So if it had been 15 they would have been blatantly breaking the law as you are allowed 1 creel limit of fish in a calendar day.
The way I was to understand it and it was explain to me by a game warden @ rough river , Once you clean your fish it no longer counts as it is a processed fish. But for what it's worth how many times have you been to rough river and caught a legal 30 fish limit. I have caught over 70 fish in one day but only got to keep 14..

had one of them days today,18 keepers out of probably 60+ fish..few real nice bass.

i have done it MULTIPLE times no illegal fish is worth the ticket even if it is one too many or one inch short
