And we sound mad sometimes but we aren't. I'd be happy to drink a beer or three with anybody on this board and I know I would enjoy myself to.
Cheers Elwood and Mills.....:)
I am not mad. I dont give a crap about UK football and would not give 2 cents for 50 yard line seats. It is all in good fun to banter back and forth. Nothing personal to anybody here. I am passionate about Kentucky Basketball and will debate to my death in that topic. Like I have said before and will say again, I am fully expecting UK to keep under the watchful eye of the NCAA in Basketball. Even though Calipari was not named in allegations that happened at UMASS and Memphis, bottom line is they happened on his watch. Kentucky will keep getting the top players as long as Cal is at Kentucky because as the kid that signed for UK's 2012 class, I think Goodwin is his name from Arkansas, it is a business decision. Big time recruits don't come to UK for their academics they come because Calipari gets them drafted to the NBA. If Cal is cheating, which they ALL are, and gets busted I will still support UK. as far as football goes, I don't care. UK will NEVER win the SEC much less compete for a National Title. Way too many outstanding teams for them to have to go thru to win the SEC. Kentucky would have to take a bunch of nobody's and play over their heads several years in a row and go 5-3 or 6-2 in the SEC before they start getting enough recruits to get to the 7-1 or 8-0 level in conference. Which means UK has to beat Georgia, Florida and Tenn all in the same year, good luck.
Louisville football has promise because you don't have a guy who won National Titles at Florida, as Defensive Cordinator, and not learn how to run a program. Sort of like the assistant manager of an excellent company getting promoted to manager. He saw what the other manager did to be successful and will do the same. Louisville Basketball, I hate Pitino as much as I loved him when he was at UK. Don't like the fact that he bolted to the Celtics, don't like what he did to Michael Bradley, don't like his personal life issues since plus he could have went to any school in America and chose to come back to the state of Kentucky. He could have been a GOD if he had stayed at UK. Forget Cal's recruiting classes, can you imagine the roll of recruits that would have kept coming in after all those players went to the NBA off the 96, 97, 98 teams. No telling how many titles UK and Pitino would have by now. Never hated Louisville when Crum was around and won't hate them after Pitino leaves.
Nothing personal to anybody. I do like to argue and debate and my wife says I should trade in my Engineering Degrees for Law Degrees many times over. I love it when somebody gets so mad they run out of good debating material and all that's left is "**** You". That is when I will bust out laughing because to me when somebody keeps posting the same response because they can't think of any reasonable response to what I said to counter back is funny to me. Until next topic....
Not sure whats so great about nitpicking, name calling, and grown men getting sideways over sports?? It's just a game.
I can understand politics getting under a persons skin because it effects us all ....but sports?? Naw...it's just a game. Now if you live vicariously through UK or UL then I can see how this stuff can get under your skin.:p;):cool:

Good points Don and I can honestly say that ''I TRY NOT TO DO IT'', and fail at it miserably once the mud starts flying. I would actually like to have a civil conversation about sports directly pertaining to UofL and Kentucky athletics but it's not possible. I can count o one hand how many Cat fans I've ever met that can do this without spewing hate garbage five minutes into the conversation. Brian and Fishin is Life is the onlt two on this site I have ever seen attempt it.
Now am I just as bad, I already said I was so save me the speech, but I can do it civil if givin the chance. I just don't eat crap well, never have liked it's taste and never will, it's in my DNA.....

UoK and UofL are just as different as democrats and republicans.
You've got the big time high dollar city folks with all the money on the Louisville side of the fence, and then you've got the bug eaters and OSU sweatshirt wearing hilljacks that identify with UK simply because they were born in Kentucky. Obama wears a UofK shirt when he plays basketball, if you can call it that.... :)

First of all, I don't own any OSU sweatshirts or anything else from them except my degree. As I posted on the other post where you opened up your big fat mid-informed spewage flowing mouth that has absolutely no facts to support what you say, I AM NOT AND HAVE NOT BEEN A FAN OF OSU. Go find any post ANY POST where I said ANYTHING that I have supported OSU to backup your statement. Just another example of a Louisville fan making something up because he has absolutely no factual information to try and win a debate. Any more lies and bullcrap that you want to post about me?

Let me see, which would I rather be a High dollar city folk with all the money or a bug eating hilljack ................ These bugs is good!!!!
Maybe you should take some of that money you "Supposively" have and build a school that outranks UK in academics and can compete with them on the Basketball court. Until then, you keep on being the THIRD best Basketball team in the state and keep a Basketball coach THAT PAID FOR AN ABORTION
Only board in the world where you can mix basketball, football, politics, school academics, AND ABORTION in the same thread..........All over who has bigger kahunas.....
EXCELLENT.
