The sports bickering is getting out of hand. I'm guilty of tossing political crap but it ends rather quickly. The threads of "my dad is better than yours" is so dang old it isn't funny.
Mainly because none of you have played on any of the football or basketball teams. Or have you? If so I apologize. Does being a fan mean a person can spew stats about each team to see if the other guy can find a better stat? It's silly and if my child acted like what I have seen on here It would be discipline time. The lack of respect for each other is disappointing. The fun stops when things get to that point...jmo.
I will continue to read them just because I want to see how far a poster is allowed to go before he/she gets banned.
It's all part of the game. If they didn't have sports they wouldn't have fans. It's all fun and games at work or the internet. I agree with you there's always someone digging a little to deep. No need to threaten someone to meet in the parking lot. Or sending pm's to express your view. I respect all team's and fan's. Yet some can dish it out but can't take it. Win or lose it's just a game. Mainly it's people that eat a lot of crow. If you can't handle a lose than you need to give it up. Some people just eat a lot of crow. Remember if the shoe fits wear it. And yes I played a lot of organised sports in my day.
I played basketball at a university IN the state of KY...does that mean I can talk?

I agree completley that things have been getting out of hand. Too many button pushers clogging the board up now.
Really there is no need for the name calling, insults, threats............. and it's not just the sports talk threads either because I can't count the times I've read a political post recently that included some type of indirect name calling in it........ which makes me avoid the conversation all together.
Maybe a ignore poster button would work on here. Then you could just block seeing the post of the guy/gal that just rubs you the wrong way but then again everyone might end up just seeing their own post. :)

Don't need any permission to voice an opinion on here, unless your banned. :) I mean't to point out that some of the UL and UK fans are the ones getting disrespectful and I couldnt understand that kind of fire in a fan unless they spent time playing for the athletic programs.....to each his own.
Personally, I love some good banner back and forth about anything but I stop when I realize I'm taking things too far. Heck look at today with my Gators getting smacked around by LSU! Last week it was Alabama that did it and I got some good natured ribbing but that's all. Don't mean a thing because its just a game.

Man it's sad, the dreaded days of rebuilding are here. New coaching staff and the loss of all those awesome players in the period of a few years has the program scrambling for some stability.
They will rebuild as always but it's gonna be painful for now. On the bright side.....The SEC will prolly take the championship again. Dang LSU and Alabama look like pro teams out there!!!

It's hard to say they're rebuilding....they just ran up against 2 superior teams the past couple weeks....they still have a ton of team speed and i look for them to win the east....I honestly think they have the 3rd best team in the SEC, and that's saying something....They need some stability at the QB position that I don't think even Brantley brought.....Bama and LSU are the class of the SEC and the country so far and they woulda laid a beat down on any team that had to play them in back to back weeks
