When does boating season end?

Boating or fishing, some have a season in mind. Most folks seem to have different opinions. What's yours and what do you do wtih your time when "your season" ends?

Me.......

Once I put the boat up, I try to work like crazy, to earn the money, to pay for the damages from the year.

I have to admit as I get older, it seems like there's too little time from the end of one season to get ready for the next. So I think here in the next 4 or 5 years, I'll go to an even odd system by year. Even years will be boating and fishing season, and the odd years will be the "off season".

All ways like reading your post Bob.I forgot about boating season since i moved south.I'm thinking about becoming a full time RVer in the near future so i can fly more south when it gets too cold too hold a pole then return when its too hot too sit down.Got my eye on a RV that gets 18mpg. just not sure about a deisel or gas............

Does boating season end? What about Float n fly and Sauger fishing. :D

I do maintenance in Sept/October and April/May, and stay on the water all year.

It is never-ending.

Never for me it's some of the best times to be on the rivers. I really enjoy paddling my kayak in winter time. Waters are so much quieter and peaceful. have paddle in 24dg weather before.

Same here, gotta be pretty cold for me to take a week off of fishing.

My Season will end around the 1st of December. Going on one last trip to Cumberland for Stripers the week after Thanksging and will leave my beloved Starcraft in boat storage near Alligator #2.
Will start again in late March or early April.

Never stops for me, I'm a year rounder, in fact I fish more during the winter than I do in the summer. Striper fish year round and go to FL to fish in the gulf if it’s too cold here, or just feel like some saltwater fishing is needed. Just load the boat, swap out gear and head south, in fact I was planning on going this weekend but it doesn’t look like the waves are going to cooperate so guess I will be striper fishing this weekend instead. I striper fish almost every weekend and go to FL 5-6 times during the winter, every FL trip is just awesome, I love it.

It's almost year 'round for me.....

March - October = bass fishing in the Ranger
November - Janurary = duck hunting from the Lowe
February = enjoy the snow and go snow skiing

10-4 on the skiing had a great year to break out the cross country skies last year got plenty of miles logged. Hit fresh powder at Snowshoe last year.
