Cabela's Superstore Opening in Louisville
I wonder what Bass Pro in Clarksville thinks about this?
A new 88,000-square-foot facility will be located in the Old Brownsboro Crossing development at the intersections of Interstates 265 and 71. It will be Cabela’s first store in Kentucky.
The store will be built in Cabela’s trademark style with an exterior of log construction, stonework, wood siding and metal roofing. A large glass storefront will allow customers to view much of the store’s interior as they approach the building.
The store is expected to employ about 200 full- and part-time workers. Cabela’s plans to open stores in Wichita, Kan.; Tulalip, Wash.; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; Charleston, W.Va.; Rogers, Ark.; and Union Gap, Wash., in 2012. Cabela’s also plans to open stores in Columbus, Ohio, and Grandville, Mich., in 2013.
Cabela’s stores showcase thousands of products, including hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, boating and wildlife-watching gear, as well as clothing and outdoor-themed gifts and furnishings.
The Old Brownsboro Crossing development is near Summit Lifestyle Center and also includes Costco and Lowe’s, as well as restaurants and medical offices.

Tim I heard wind of this through work about three weeks ago. This will be awesome and it's right next to where I work and live for that matter. I'm gonna be broke now...
I've been told Cabelas stores are way better then BPS???
I may get me a part time job there in the fishing or hunting department just for S&Giggles..

Re: Cabela's Superstore Opening in Louisville
Looking forward to checking them out. I have never been inside a Cabela's store before. I did order some waders from them about 10 years ago that I am very happy with.

I ordered a pair of waders over 20 years ago...Redball brand, they look like a big ugly mess when I put them on, like a big old garbage bag. They have an insulated foot and they don't leak. Can't remember now but I think they cost me around 30 or 40 dollars back then....hard to find a wader for that price now days. I definitely got my money's worth out of them.

Cabelas is the absolute best when it comes to hunting gear. BPS is terrible on hunting gear.
Cabela's also has much higher standards on stuff that carries their logo. The BPS branded/Redhead stuff is cheap and low quality.
To say the Cabela's is better than BPS is an understatement.
My absolute favorite part about it is that Cabela's is a full fledged RANGER DEALER...a good Ranger dealer has been missing from the Louisville area and made it tough to get Ranger specific parts or service.

This may be true...but for me personally, Ranger is waaaaay out of my league. I'm more of an old aluminum beater type of guy, NO carpet, lol...

Re: Cabela's Superstore Opening in Louisville
Mark, you might need to get a second job there and then just sign the back of your paycheck and hand it back to them each week! :)
