No, they didn't.
They sampled a fish last fall I posted on the photo board that was about 7. It looks a lot bigger from the camera angle.
From what I understand, *someone* has been having a bit of fun with the photo, sending it around with various weights and places it was from. :D

I know the girl in the photo. The fish was caught in a gill net while sampling walleye. The fish was never weighed or measured. Simply a quick photo and then the fish was released.
Thanks for the response guys...

Just to clear something up, do you know the girls job title? I am curious if she is a fishery biologist with the U.S. Forest Service.
I'm pretty sure she's a biologist and it is w the forest service. Though I believe she was working with the state that day. She was in the same program as me in college.
The reason I asked was because my brother-in law's brother works for forestry division down there and that is where I got the info. So I figured if it was true then someone else had to know about it.

I was down there this past Saturday. It was my first time. For those that are interested, the trout seemed to be active. I caught one on my jerkbait. My partner caught two. We weren't fishing for them. They were busting the surface on lake points.
Carter did u have any action from smallies ?
Not unless the BIG fish I had on my jerkbait was one. I never saw it. He hit and took off, stripping line as he went. Never even got to set the hook before he got off. I did catch a 3# spot though.
