I did research and the best lines seem to be:
Suffix Performance Braid
Toray Super Braid
Sumarai Braid
Stren Sonic Braid
Cortland
Power Pro Braid
Power Pro Super Slick
Please vote which is most castable in your experience?
The braids I have used all tend to not cast smoothly on a consistent basis. Every four or five casts; you have a sudden stop that if you are using live bait will toss it off.

I personally love super slick 8, way better than original power pro IMO. Also, I've found that if I use a mono backfill on the baitcasters, it helps with the line digging into the spool after a fish or snag...which causes the "sudden stop" you are referring to. I also like the way the Stren Sonic Braid casts, the only thing i don't like about it is the sound it makes going through the eyes of your rod. As far as the castability, it's super slick 8 hands down.

I guess I'm going to have to try that super slick 8. I've been using the reg. powerpro for a few years now, and always thought that if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it....may have to make an exception as I keep hearing great things about it!
I like the original power pro.

All I have read about this confirms need to backfill with mono. I did not know that it help with castability. I just finished putting new line on this past weekend and did the back filling as suggested.
I do think I will try the Power Pro Super Slick 8. One negative I read about it was that the dimensions of the line are sometimes inconsistent.
I usually use Cortland Master Braid, which is incredible stuff, expensive but very very good. This past weekend I used 65# Power pro with a mono backing. I was musky fishing all day saturday and sunday and made a few thousand casts (no exaggeration) and usually when musky fishing you'll snap that line with a backlash at least a few times. well with this power pro I never did it one time in two full days of constant casting, and that just never happens, at least not for me. I almost always have at least a few per day when I musky fish. But that stuff is awesome and I'm sold and highly suggest it. especially with heavy baits like musky lures or the A-Rig.
I will have to say that I have found the Cortland Master Braid to be very slick and super easy to cast.

Did you use regular Power Pro or Super Slick 8 Power Pro?
Stren sonic is trash, my preference is spiderwire stealth braid and you won't have to take out a loan to buy it. I also like power pro.

Bought some Power Pro this weekend. They had a reel on close-out at D***S and I got it for $10 for 150 yards. Maybe not deal of the century but a good deal for that day.
