ESPN just reported Peyton has instructed his agent to begin negotiations with the Broncos. Should only be a matter of dotting the I' and crossing the T's at this point.

If so, the 49ers have some making up to do with Smith and probably more money besides what Smith was asking. If Tebow stays in Denver then he could watch and learn for 3-4 years then take over after Peyton retires. I just wonder how Elway and Manning will gel together?
I believe Denver has said they will trade Tebow. I think Elway looked at that as an added bonus of signing Peyton. The one scenario where he could get rid of Tebow without a fan revolt.

Yup....thats their way out for sure. I'm still going to pull for Denver just because of Manning. I hope Tebow lands in a good spot!
As a Dolphins fan that upsets me. By the way Alex Smith was in Miami over the weekend talking with the Dolphins so maybe the 49ers know he wants to leave anyway. Hope the Phins can get a good QB lord knows we needed one for many years now.

I wonder if the whole Manning to the 49ers was all a part to get Alex Smith a bigger contract. Manning and Smith have the same agent, so it makes you wonder.
I see Peyton being a good mentor for Tebow...
Peyton will take time to teach a fella lIke Tim, just my two cents
Is it a done deal that Tebow is gone if Manning shows up????

LOL, Did you hear back from him yet? :D
Just heard John Clayton talk about a scenario where Tebow goes to New England. Man I hate New England's arrogance (mainly because of the fans) but I like Brady.....that would be a good move for Tebow.
Sounds like a waste of 95 million dollars over the next five years to me.

They are saying once the contract is sold that Denver wants to trade Tebow. Nobody knows who would trade for Tebow but New England is a possibility. Josh McDaniels, NE offensive cordinator, was the Denver coach that drafted Tebow. Who knows? I think Tebow would be better off backing up Manning and learning for a few years
