Cedar Creek Lake "BEACH"
Seen this in the local paper. Thought I would pass it on.

It was hard to find a place to park a Truck and Trailer at the #1 boat ramp due to people parking and going to the "BEACH". I hope this fixes one of the problems at the lake.

Geez....who the hell is in charge of the county planning, construction, building and code enforcement?? Why would they not know the cost and/or codes required to build in a specific use group or zone?? To me that's the real story here....a waste of money and effort of tax payers dollars. As far as sufficient notification....a sign isn't enough??? It's been closed for how long???
This kind of stuff gets me going. People just saying screw the law I'll do what I want and then the law says your right we are to harsh so we will catch up with ya later.
I was never impressed with much about this experiment call Cedar Creek Lake. Poaching and unlimited speed and bow this failure of enforcing restrictions just adds to it.

What an utter failure. How old is Cedar Creek these days? I'm guessing at least 10 years? The "beach" was created early on and has never been supported. There is trash all over the place around that lake and not just at the beach, either.
-
Never was a fan of that little lake from the get-go....9000 boats all over it....and now this beach with no pissers, which is basically an ash tray next to a big toilet. Yeah, let's go swimmin boys!!!

Cedar Creek began as joint venture project between KDFWR and the Kentucky Transportation Department...I would think KDFWR would do a better job at enforcing the rules and managing the lake. But I guess it's like everything else...the department is hurting for funds???? Lack of money = lack of employee's???? Or...in some cases I have heard from credible sources, sometimes even if poacher's are reported the enforcement guys don't come out anyway.

Cedar Creek is a gold mine for big bass. I haven't been there yet without catching one close to or over 4 pound. The down side is there is WAAAAAAAAAAAY TOO MANY BOATS AND PEOPLE. I think if Kentucky wants to get serious about it being a TRUE trophy lake, start charging money to fish there. Like say 10 dollars or more per day. Enforce it and right tickets if they don't pay. This will clean up the lake and make it what it truley was meant to be. It will also weed out alot of Riff raff and get more of the serious/caring types to come back.
Just my 2 cents

That's a great idea!! I would take it a step farther and give it a speed limit or outboard size limit.

Excellent idea. Why wouldn't the KDFWR go for this, what's the down side????

Outboard size limit would be to restrictive. Speed limit maybe and enforcement. Enforcement being the KEY to fixing most of the issues with the lake without adding any additional regulations.
That is all we need is more government regulations.

I'm against foolish regulations but that place is a circus. Your right enforcement would be difficult so nothing will get done. I guess as long as you know what your getting into when you go there it's all good.

The idea at Cedar is get there before everybody else and leave before everybody else. This helps but it's still a Zoo. Guys drive like frickin Morons on that lake. You can be tied up to standing timber and they will go by you at warp speed and smile as they break the tree off your tied to. They will cut you off on the bank you are fishing and laugh. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY TOO many people for such a small lake that I think fishes alot smaller than 700 acres.
I usually hate more regulations but that little lake needs something or it will be completely trashed in another few years.
Just my 2 cents..

Is this lake like this (chaos) all days, or just on weekends?
