not 100 percent sure but the creek is probably covered in duckweed so bad it is almost impossible to fish in spots. It was about 2 foot lower than normal during the drought and i read on fish and wildlife a tributary that dumps into Stoner in Bourbon Co had a fish kill due to stagnent water conditions. The creek is at 13.3 now but we still need more rain to get the fish back to normal.

Gosh thats no good... I hope the water gets back to normal.
it was super low a couple of weeks ago i was thinking about hitting ikes tonight but any info on getting past the flat?
Where would be a good place to hit Stoner to do some wading?
Wading ive go no idea.. Im ideling at ikes right nowwater looks awesome
with the water at 13.3 the flat shouldnt be an issue. Let me know how you done im out of action for a bit. Split my trailer tire parking at Wilgreen Saturday for the tournament. I guess the duckweed is no longer an issue?

That would have been my guess too but no.. Not really an issue i look forward to it for some reason.. About 1/4 of a mine past the flat there are a couple of 200 or 300 yard sections ofduck weed.. Water temps are anywhere from 84 to 82.. Only caught a couple last night but i wanted to get out might go out some time at night again this week
What has all this rain done to the water?
NOAA is saying that at 7am the water is still only at 13.6 at ikes, but i would say some of the duck weed broke up. but i havent see it

Was hoping somewhere during all this rain it would get up enough to wash some of that junk out but according to the website it hasn't been higher than 13 and a half or so even though normally it doesn't take much to get it out of its banks.... Haven't fished it all summer because of the duckweed.
How is the fishing?
