I just figured out a way to save tax payer money and rid the US of big head carp. Make that the main meal in prisons. Feed it to undocumented citizens who have crossed our boarders improperly. This will save tax payer money on the ol grocery bill and help reduce the number of invasive fish. Plus it could help stimulate the economy in smaller towns.
I think we would first have to set up a 400 million dollar commission to put together a 5 year study to see if feeding carp to inmates is a good idea,lol.

Kinda reminds me of the movie High Plains Drifter when the three prisoners were let out and they ask about getting there horses back and the guard sayes " What do you think you been eatin the last 6 months" LOL
Good movie.
I suggest that they can those Silver and Big Head Carp and distribute them to food kitchens for the homeless and the poor. If people are hungry they would appreciate the food.

I remember some hunters donating meat in the south to some homeless shelter and it wasn't allowed. Anyone remember that? Seems it happened recently and a lot of food was wasted in the name of FDA approved foods only being fed to hungry people.

Again, just so we’re all on the same page, that’s 1,600 pounds of venison.
“Deer meat is not permitted to be served in a shelter, restaurant or any other public eating establishment in Louisiana,” a Health Dept. official said in an email to Fox News.
“While we applaud the good intentions of the hunters who donated this meat, we must protect the people who eat at the Rescue Mission, and we cannot allow a potentially serious health threat to endanger the public,” the statement adds.
Needless to say, the many hunters who donated the meat are furious with the state officials.

Of course, and then the fed would spend $2 million setting up a solicitation to bid the work out to some contractor to harvest, process , and distribute the fish. We as tax payers would probably end up paying about 10 times the price of frozen fish from Krogers to have the govt contract out catching fish to feed inmates.
Here's my suggestion. Prisons buy canoes and paddles, and wooden clubs. The inmates man the boats and hit the rivers. If they catch and kill carp, they can eat them, if not......they got some good low cost exercise for the day and a low calorie diet to help them shed those unwanted pounds. If they don't catch and kill carp, they don't eat.
Along that same lines....sequestor? Cut 90% of the meat out of inmates diet at prisons, and let them eat carp they catch instead.......or navy beans.
