Well we got down at 5 pm Friday , me and my daughters buddy Seth went out to my brush pile in 20 ft of water and I got some minnows Seth had 2 one got off but he got one that was 8 in
we battled the waves and the crowded lake and went to a few deep brushpiles nothing came back to the house and wentr out right before dark Seth got 1 Bass I had one jump off and my daughter lost one too YES SHE ACTUALLY FISHED
So today my daughter was like i wanna fish ,,,,iwas in awe because lately she never wants to fish , she is 14 and is your typical teenager .But any way we went out and I had some wax worms along with the minnows , and I asked her if she wanted to go for x=crappie or blue gill and she said blue gill ! So i rigged her up and she began to tear up those gills and her buddy seth didn't get the first fish !!
I had a blast taking off her fish and handed her wax worms ...i put my pole up to help her and I had fun watching her catch those fish .IT WAS like the old days we she was 9 or 10 . We really had a good day together and I am anxious to see if she wants to fish next weekend LOL
Everyone have a safe Labor Day
I'm sure she'll remember that day for a long, long time, Pappa!!
It is a lot more fun just helping and watching them have fun, isn't it?I had a blast taking off her fish and handed her wax worms ...i put my pole up to help her and I had fun watching her catch those fish
I'm glad you got to share that with her once again. I can imagine exactly what you were probably feeling.
I hope my daughter will still want to fish when she is a teen. She just turned seven and she chose "fishing with daddy" as her special thing to go and do that day. It was just this past summer she absolutely fell in love with fishing, she literally can't get enough and will fish for hours without getting bored. Her brother is two years older and likes to fish with me, but at this point she is on a different level entirely, she is like some kind of fish whisperer or something and she just seems to have a natural gift, because that little girl can catch herself some fish.
That's awesome , now i will sayl my daughter still saysbluegill is her favorite meal , she just dont have the intrest in fishing like she used to ....maybe yesterday when she outfished us all will kindle a fireIt is a lot more fun just helping and watching them have fun, isn't it?
