I'm glad you got to share that with her once again. I can imagine exactly what you were probably feeling.

I hope my daughter will still want to fish when she is a teen. She just turned seven and she chose "fishing with daddy" as her special thing to go and do that day. It was just this past summer she absolutely fell in love with fishing, she literally can't get enough and will fish for hours without getting bored. Her brother is two years older and likes to fish with me, but at this point she is on a different level entirely, she is like some kind of fish whisperer or something and she just seems to have a natural gift, because that little girl can catch herself some fish.
That's awesome , now i will sayl my daughter still saysbluegill is her favorite meal , she just dont have the intrest in fishing like she used to ....maybe yesterday when she outfished us all will kindle a fire
