    Those creek fish are resident fish. They don't move in and out due to river levels. Unless its really high and they r seeking refuge. Maybe first few hundred feet of creek fish might move some. If the main river is moving on a rise or fall fishing will be better there. Current is king. If u want to fish the creeks, they will start biting soon. Follow the bait, and don't be afraid to beef up ur presentation. U don't always have to throw small finesse stuff out there. They r getting ready to put the feed bag on soon

    Also don't be afraid of the main being muddy. U can go big and fish current breaks with heavier jigs

    Awesome advice. I am familiar with river fishing just not with this area. Everyone says that the small channel side of 18 mile island is good. I fished it and had nothing but a perch, but it does look good. Any advice on that area?
