Dang, 52 people have looked at this thread and no one fishes Grayson lake. Wow, I guess there won't be any fishing boat to worry able on the lake.

Does anyone on here fish this lake? The wife and I are going next weekend for the first time and I'm looking for a little help where to find some fish. We will be staying at the state park campground and putting in at the ramp near by. Is there any good fishing down there or will I need to run for fish. I don't fish tourneys I just like to catch some bass.

I'd get in my truck and go to another lake. We had a bass nation tournament there this year and for the first time in my life I saw a tournament where not enough fish were caught to qualify the allotted number of state championship participants. Me and my co-angler caught a bunch of small fish, but no keepers. It's a tough lake that is pressured hard. I made my first and last trip there this year. I hope you do well, if I were you I'd start at the dam and fish on up past there. Good luck!
I've fished here for 20 years and it has always been tough. There are a lot of short fish but I have seen more larger fish this year than in the recent past. Three to five pound range. I have had some success this year fishing for hybrid stripers. My neighbor and I have done well catching fish close to 10 pounds. The dam is a good starting point, we also do well in Deer Creek.Does anyone on here fish this lake?
