I think that alone was worth the price of the Deck. just messing with you mhall, glad you liked it, as far as driving nails go, I can sink them with the best, and can build most anything made with wood.

I hear ya WD. Awe you and I aren't as far apart as one might think and have alot in common.
Hey don't use that Thompson's it is a paraffin base and does ok but needs it every year. Also once you use that stuff you are married to it forever, even acetone won't remove it. Not trying to be a know it all just throwing you some ideas. Look at some of the others out there if you desire completely clear, there is some really good products on the market today.

I just replaced my entire floor and handrail on my deck. Basically all horizontal surfaces. I dried all the wood to 15 to 19% checking with my moisture meter. Then I pre-sealed on saw horses with Cabot's semi-clear oil base. I like it's performance so far, will it old up to direct UV......We'll see and I will report in a year or so.
