    River crappie

I've been getting an itch for crappie. Thinking of trying Little Poison, Oil, or Tar creek. Anyone been having any luck? I've caught some giant crappie on spinnerbaits in Little Poison. I like crappie fishing the river because its always shallow fishing when you can find them. It's also nice to slide into a creek, and not see many boats. Thanks

I gotta agree with you I've been wanting to catch a few myself. I don't ever have much luck fishing the rivers for crappie this time of year though. Now November all the way to early spring I do and it's a lot of fun. I'm catching em with jigs and minnows or ill toss a roostertail. I've never fished the places you've mentioned. Though I fish the beechfork and rolling fork rivers and occasionally the salt.
