If you're worried about recoil, a .243 is always a good choice. It will get the job done and very little felt recoil. Savage makes a nice gun. I've seen some guys use some heavier loads in a .223 for youth as well. It all really depends on what exactly you're looking for. Is this for a woman or a kid?
