I currently buy my own insurance and pay about $1300 a month for a family of four. This for a plan with a pretty high deductible just to keep it that low, and it is due to go up again this coming January. I went online to check out the rates on the Kentucky exchange and every option but one was less than I currently pay. One I believe was for only $563 per month, but many choices under $900/month. I haven't had the time to do any in depth research, but my first opinion is that we will be able to save a lot if we switched. All along I have been of the mindset that I wouldn't want to switch, but now I have to seriously look into it as an option if I can save that kind of money.
